MaxMade Bugatti absolutely perfected this car already. To think we can take a stock honda civic, swap the pipe and gain 5-10 horsepower is reasonable. To think we can take a >$1mil 1200hp hypercar and feel a torque difference immediately from a homemade pipe is just silly 😂 who do you think engineered these things? Their budget far exceeded what they needed to make a car that met emissions standards and still maximized 🐴💪🏻
@@justnel4 mate I agree Bugatti certainly did!! But do you know why it has a 4"-5" exhaust with so many Catholic converters? Other than prayers for jesus... it's a combination of reducing back pressure and stopping a 2.5m flame shooting out the exhaust. Their next video highlights the turbo's spooling sooner and also faster as most likely the MAF sensor(yes MAF) sensed more air going into the engine (Higher efficiency) and was restricting power as it had exceeded the safety margins pre programmed.
Hondas are awesome but i wouldn't mention them when it comes to talking about power gains in turbo cars. Go buy a diesel and take out the dpf and report back how it feels. Trying to jam 1200hp through a million cats is going to induce some decent back pressure
Justin McNelly They perfected the car for comfort, reliability, legalities and performance, doesn’t mean you can’t get more performance, just means you have to sacrifice the other three categories. Closest example of this is Ferrari, they are fast cars but it has been speculated and tested that with a tune and some basic modifications Ferrari’s can comfortably make 100-300 more horsepower, just means that reliability is uncertain and the ride won’t be as smooth or predictable.

Seems to me like you're probably creating backpressure (and leaving power on the table) with that step down in piping size from those sewer pipe test pipes to the muffler delete. What is that, 3.5" - 4" necked down to dual 2.5" pipes? You should make another more simply designed muffler delete with straight 3.5" or 4" j-pipes basically taking a 90 degree turn after the test pipe then exiting. With turbo cars, zero backpressure is the goal and will make the most power.
