It will work but it can only record lower resolutions like 1080p. If you want to record 4k it might stop recording after a few seconds and give you an error message that the card is not fast enough.

Question about formatting - I have a low cost drone which requires a 16gb sd card. Does anyone know what the best number setting should be for the allocation units?
How about going a little deeper...what happens when you have a Sandisk, U3, V30 256 etc and you still get a message SLOW WRITING SPEED?, is it due to bad formatting?..etc. Thanks, can you format it in another device where you have more control, and in that case which formatting is the right one?, if you choose 4K or 1080 (for example) the actual writing speed is the same? or changes....

Thanks for video. Only confused, because I saw a Sandisk Extreme on Amazon and the actual micro sd card also said Plus on it. The one you show in the video, just has extreme on it. Another difference is that one was black. I haven't shopped cards in a while, and there's a whole bunch of new ones out there.
I also have a 64GB that is black. They just look cool and are easier to loose that's all, lol.
Just make sure it says V2 and you should be golden :)

i was using a u1 with my mini2... but, was that diminishing my 4k footage? i just ordered a u3...
If it recorded fine then I think you're ok. 4k is 4k. It's just that some cameras have a higher bit rate, meaning even though it's all 4k they capture more information giving you a bit more wiggle room in post production. And for those you need th faster one.
But hey, now you got both and can record even more. Have fun flying!

Extreme Pro or Extreme Plus?
So there are U3 with A1 sandisk cards out there. The A rating is for loading applications on phones I thought.

Im hearing that Mavic Mini does not support 128gb sd cards. Can you please tell me anything about this? Just bought my mini and havent flown it yet. I really dont wanna mess anything up
The Mavic Mini even supports up to 256GB so you should be good! Just make sure the card is the right speed so it won’t stop recording half way through a shot. Here is the official DJI site. You can see on the right column at the bottom, the cards they recommend: www.dji.com/mavic-mini/specs
@@YouRock-WeDrone Oh awesome, can you I ask you one more question 🥺 My 4k30fps videos look fine when I watch them on the laptop on the sd card. But when I try to watch the 4k60fps videos they are all black screen and only audio works. Any troubleshooting ideas? Much appreciated

One thing I would like to point out is that whatever capacity is on the front of the card you'll never get to use whole this space. Having said that, card rated 64gb is even less attractive than you could think.

Yes I had the problem before. Are you recording in a high frame rate and/or high Fps? Also check that your as card has V30 on it, or A2.
128gb is the best 👌 I have a Samsung PR0 v6 fast speed 60mf 22$au can't beat that price
Yes fair, Samsung is also a very reputable brand, but I've always gone with SanDisk. Their cards also seem to be on sale more often 😉

That was the reason for me to do this research. And as you guessed, the words don't really matter. It's the numbers that really specify the capability of the cards. So u3 or V30 is what you want to look for. Cheers. Dan

I recorded the video some time ago, but it still holds true. SanDisk all the way indeed
witch is beter for osmo pocket 3
Sandisk Ultra 128GB
Sandisk Extreme v30 128GB
Sandisk Extreme Pro 128 GB
The name doesn't matter too much. Make sure it has "V30" because that means highest speed. Which means you can record 4k video.
