bro great video, i do use nginx for loadbalancer but never though of this lol 😅
I mainly use it for reserve proxying, but having discovered the RTMP side of NGINX a few months ago, it's given me so many ideas. can even use it to push to multiple streaming services at once without needing re-stream type services!

My only problem at the moment is that when i switch apps after going live for mobile gaming, my broadcast ends... any suggestions? Im using an S21 Ultra

You would need to have nginx running, you could add that command to a batch file and pop that in your startup folder and it'll launch every time you turn your computer on.

Hello, everything works for me but i can't find a way to mute my phone's microphone. When i live i can be heard on the stream but also via the microphone of the telephone :/ A solution for me ?

Hey. Streaming lags a lot (Not because the OBS client side or the phone). Looks like I have to manage a little bit with the settings in order to set correct buffer times, etc.
It does a little if your bitrate is high, you don't need it super high if your streaming on mobile, screens are much smaller so low quality isn't going to be noticed.
From what I've noticed, this is usually due to the wireless transmission speed to and from your phone.
Try turning the bitrate down a little in OBS and that should solve it, try 2000?
@@slughead I've always used 6000. Anyway, I think I've found a better config. Try this one (And I think it is gotta be good if you add it to your description). It just add support for buffering.

Did Tiktok impliment a fix? When I go live on tiktok, then open VLC, it starts to only do audio instead of video

Works fine still, was able to stream skyrim for an hour today using this method

Sounds like you are either not running nginx from the correct path or putting the correct path in for your config file
Is there a technician to block the tiktok microphone in case I put a pre-recorded video of mine, to avoid ambient noise
It doesn't look like, but if you're playing audio from obs then it should get drowned out
u could try turing off mic permission for tiktok on ur phone app setting
not working when vlc open my stream. then start tiktok vlc cant open my stream again please help

doesnt work anymore for me on my both phones. Iphone 13 mini and Lenovo m8 . they implemented that the live wont be shown wenn streaming or watching videos

To get into the folder you want, in the command screen type in "dir" this will display the contents of the current folder, if the one you're looking for is in there type "cd nameoffolder" then press enter

You should put “needs to have basic coding understanding to use method” because you don’t explain the command prompts well, don’t even mention the coding for ++ is in the description. And even then my lines and your lines of coding on that are way different anyway.
There's literally no coding in this video at all, that's just a config file.
Besides, just use tiktok studio these days. This was before Tiktok studio was released.

After trying this I got to the step of connecting VLC to the server. I can verify its streaming to 127.0.0.1. But it doesn't accept the real rtmp://realip/show/streamkey url. It also doesn't work if I change rtmp to rtsp. Both the phone and the PC are on the same wifi.
Are you connecting to your real IP? If you're doing that way you'll need to do some port forwarding on your router. But that's not what you're trying to do, typically they address you'll be connecting to will be a 192.168.x.x address.
@@slughead Yeah, sorry the 192.168 address is what I mean by "real ip" rtmp://192.168.x.x/show/test and pressing the orange arrow next to the url box clears it out and doesn't do anything.
I was about to ask about port forwarding. Does that need to be done?
@@slughead The specific error in vlc on android is "multiple media cannot be played" after inputting the address.
@@boomer5977 That's a weird one, how's the wifi signal on your phone? Force restart the app. Add "buflen 20s;" to the server section on it's own line and restart nginx
@@slughead 10/10. I'm right next to it. Specifically how do you restart nginx? Is there any other way besides the command line?
