I told a friend about when you discuss color in this video, and we thought of something she could do along those lines, by adding listings with several color combinations, increasing her listings. It worked, and someone bought three items rather than just one, and now she will offer a deluxe listing with all three. Brilliant!
That's a great idea!
This works really well for items that you can make an unlimited quantity. A little harder for items that have a limited inventory, so makes it hard to keep track of stock.
true, not everything will apply to every type of listing.
I’m so cheap with the stupid $0.20 listing fee but I might give this a shot. At the very top of my Etsy wish list is the ability to put one listing in more than one section.
That would be useful and it would make sense, so Etsy will probably never do it.
Good point about making the title color match the rest of the listing. I never thought I could actually include the color in the title and create a different listing, just based on that product! I've always used Variations.
You can do it both ways, too. Some people duplicate the listings to change the first photo, but they still put all the variations in.
I always thought that it was better to group your variations into the same listing, this is super good to know. I sell stickers so there's only so many ways I can tag them, but I might try something like doing a grab bag of 3 stickers all with similar themes under a discounted price. Thank you for the info!
Glad it was helpful!
That was a problem of mine too with my stickers, I just didn’t think we could duplicate stuff like this!
Good advice, Kara. What I sometimes do on etsy is renew a listing that has sold which is like or similar to what I'm listing. Then immediately edit it & replace all the pictures & update any description necessary. Not sure if that helps in search but I'm thinking the listing had good seo as it sold, plus it's a lot easier & quicker for me than working on a whole new listing. Thanks for all you do!
If you do that just make sure that the two things are really since Etsy's going to think the edited version is the same as the first one.
Thank you so much Kara! This is very informative and helpful, I've been thinking if duplicates is allowed then I found your video.Thank again!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this tip. Just went in and duplicated two of my items. Never knew you could do this with listings. Since I'm having so much fun using Canva to create idea pins for Pinterest, thank you for the course btw, I have more video and pictures for listings then I could post in just one listing, this is a great use of the extras, as I play around with Canva. Awesome Boomer. (I kicked the Old Boomer out🙂)
Glad it was helpful!
Not sure if this helps, but you could probably also add keywords about using your silicon molds with precious metal clay, a lot of jewelers use metal clay and are in need of cool molds to create new designs :)
Great tip!
Great advice, but not for vintage sellers/OOAK, as you mention. For me the one thing that made a big difference was the number of listings. I remember when I hit 100 listings and I was so happy. It can take quite some time to list a vintage item as I sometimes do research and then the description which takes time with unique items. I try to reuse some text and copy listings to work from when doing a new. I see it as my "production time" compared to sellers who make their products. I'm at 565 listings right now and I was at 630 but then I sold a lot in a short time so couldn't keep up.... a luxury problem, I guess.
For vintage listing more is definitely one of the keys to consistent sales. The volume makes up for not having the repeatable sales.
Some great ideas to mull over here! Thank you 💜
Glad you like them!
Very good advice. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks!
Can you explain the difference between tags and title keywords? Or do you have a breakdown of that somewhere?
As far as how important they are, we have to assume that Etsy looks at the title as being the most important, but I know that I get found for terms that are only in the tags. So in reality, they're all important.
@@KaraBuntin would it be more beneficial to have tags that are different than what's contained in the title? From stats it might be easier to tell how the listing is getting picked up? Title VS tags
@@davidsims6585 Yes, I would repeat your main keyword in the tags then vary it up.
Don’t forget to change relevant attributes though, silly mistake but I did it!
good point!
This is super advice for me! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing vid! I just launched my first Etsy shop with 32 listings! I want to boost my initial sales numbers/visability of the shop with an ads investment.
Which Ads goal would you recommend? This would help a lot!
Etsy ads suck so if you us them watch your stats carefully to make sure you're not losing money.
There is one shop which sells sewing patterns, they sell a lot! But what they do is list each size as a separate listing, although you do get all of the sizes when you buy the pattern anyway. Thoughts??
That's exactly what I'm talking about in the video.
Very Helpful. Thanks for this🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Glad it was helpful!
Helpful ideas! Thanks! 😃
Glad it was helpful!
I already do this & have indeed also sold 2 of the same item. I had to refund the customer because it was OOAK, but glad to have made a sale. Now the question is when will customers start buying again. It's sooo slow right now.
My sales are picking up, which is irritating because I have another project I want to work on.
Thanks Kara
Thank you! That's unexpected and not necessary but I appreciate it!
Really helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks :) I love your videos.
Thanks for watching!
Huh interesting! I didn’t realize this was Etsy legal, I’m going to try this out to target different audiences. This will come in handy too when I list my sticker sheets!
Go for it!
Definitely legal with Etsy, they just mention to make sure you can cover the stock if you have duplicate listings for similar items.
thank you Kara
Thanks for watching!
can i for example duplicate a listing for a niche (e.g. racing shirts) with different designs but use the exact same titles, tags and description through to speed up the listing uploading process?
Yes, you can do that. But I would change the details to make sure you're being accurate for each listing.
@@KaraBuntin ok cool, cheers for the reply
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome!
Can we duplicate a listing with no variation by uploading different pictures of the same product? like lets say same handbag in same colour?
Yes you can, as long as you can fulfill both orders if someone comes along and buys both items at the same time. And they have to be in the same shop, you can't put the same item in two different shops.
Thank you, great way to fill up shop.
You bet!
HI Kara! Thank you so much for sharing this! I was hoping you could share your thoughts on the following: So you can't duplicate the same listings for 2 different shops? Okay, what if the goal was to just target (not do research or enhance search visibility) 2 different countries with local delivery in each and avoid each seeing duplicate listings in your main shop's page. I'm asking because it seems when you have duplicate listings with just different shipping profiles in 1 shop, all listing appear on your shop's main webpage for both countries. That seems messy. Any advice on that or idea to make it look cleaner other than just change pictures (as it will still have the same design on the product)
It’s not a big deal to have the same thing on the home page, most people don’t go to your storefront anyway. Either change the first photo a little or just don’t worry about it.
@@KaraBuntin Thanks for the reply!
Great video!
How do you think if I have 1 listing broken glass. And there 34 variations of colors if it’s will be ok if I will duplicate this for every color ? Or it’s look like spam ?
Itwould be fine but I would vary the keywords to try to get ideas about which keywords bring the most searches.
I have 19 insertions and I don't get a single view, I also do SEO so I don't get the problem, I have 5 sales but it was my bf
It could be anything...19 listings isn't very many, so you probably need more to have a better chance of having something be included in search results. There's no way for me to know what's going on, though, there are too many things it could be.
Am i able to duplicate listings from my current shop to a brand new shop?
You can't put the same thing in two different shops, but you can move listings to a different shop and delete them from the first one.
All payment methods for this shop are temporarily unavailable. How to fix plz help
You have to contact Etsy directly, they're the only ones that can help with things like that! czcams.com/video/p2ecXJEJvV4/video.html
