During Bangladesh liberation war it was clear that Pakistan's forces were depleted and Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw asked Niazi, commander of Pakistani forces, to unconditionally surrender in front of the Indian Army.
*93,000 Pakistani troops surrendered to the Indian Army in 1971 making it the biggest surrender since World War II.*
1971 was a freedom struggle by Bangladeshis. Why do Indians get an orgasm from it? India's role was purely that of a sponsor, like it does TTP now. If your fake news were in fact true, there would have been East Bengal, not Bangladesh. India was at war with Portugal over Goa, and they just let Bangladesh form instead of East Bengal. Lmao! We all saw how a surrenderer was made a hero recently in India, so India's propaganda factory still fools its people.

Pakistan 🇵🇰 lost for the same reason that Syria, Egypt, and Jordan lost to Israel in every war. Their officers were playboys from connected families, got their ranks through nepotism, and were treated like princes, while the soldiers were poor peasant boys and were treated like slaves. In all third-world armies, you have unmotivated troops and incompetent officers. India was different, For the Sikhs and Gurkhas, war was a tradition.
You forgot gurjars and Rajputs 🙂
Pakistan : Biggest fraud on muslims and Islam
We are blessed to have so many martial races and a competent officer core.
India was very lucky in its leaders who were prepared with a vision of what India was to be. The Constitution came out in 1951 and the structure of the governance, the separation of powers and the subordination of the armed forces to the elected representatives came into play. For Pakistan the problem in all walks of life I think started from elite capture. The North Indian elite Muslim families that went to Pakistan brought with them their extra privileged, exploitative by birth thought process. If you watch Satyajit Ray's Shatranj ke Khiladi, you will understand the indolent and indulgent spoilt as a two year old culture that landed gentry of Awadh had. They carried the germ of elite capture into their new country. For India, it was good riddance; we managed to get the land reforms going and abolished all princely privileges. The Pakistani people unfortunately imported some of the worst people living in the subcontinent and paid the price.

The seeds for creation of Bangladesh was sown by Mohammad Ali Jinnah - when he declared at Dhaka that Urdu will be the official language of Pakistan. How bro, how is life for Hindus over there?
Dear Muzammil,
That was a wonderful brief on the reasons for the creation of Bangladesh. I am a student of history, and in fact, I have written a novel based on the Indo-Pak war history. While doing my research on the subject, I came across some other vital aspects that must be mentioned.
1. Among the most compelling reasons why the East Pakistanis voted for Sheikh Muj was a cyclone - Cyclone Bhola! It struck East Pakistan and east coast of India on November 7-8, 1970. This was the greatest natural disaster of the 20th century, killing up to 500,000 people, ... apart from the devastation is caused to the economy and livelihood of the Bengalis. The cyclone lasted for 6 days but the best effort by Yahya Khan was an air tour of the skies days after the cyclone had receded. Until then there had not been a single effort to help the affected, while the world was sending all the help it could (India had alerted the East Pakistan stations about the impending disaster heading its way. That's the reason India suffered a lot less in comparison.
2. The massacre under Operation Searchlight. Here, as you mentioned a lot of atrocities were committed by the army ... but there was another evil that was predominantly responsible for this - the Jamat e-Islami which created many proxy forces which carried out the dirty work of the Pak army. Mainly among them were the militias - Al Badr and Al Shams, and numerous others. They killed the intellectuals of East Pakistan and dumped their bodies in the canals and rivers.
One must read a book by Taslima Nasreen - 'Lajja (meaning SHAME in Bengali). The narration is heart wrenching and depressing if you are one of those whose family was on the receiving end. It was in a real sense 'INHUMAN' like stabbing bayonets into the stomachs of young pregnant females.
Another factor worth considering. When it was almost a foregone conclusion that Pakistan was going to lose the war, and that Bangladesh's creation was indeed becoming a reality, An incident is treated like a heroic action. Mr. ZA Bhutoo tearing up the UNSC proposal on the floor of the assembly. Bhutto should have accepted the peace proposal and thus saved Pakistan from breaking up. Guess what the date was when he tore up the papers? December 15, 1971. The next day Lt. A A K Niazi surrendered.
Was it all coordinated? I am not sure.
There are several other factors worth considering.
But kudos to you for two points - 1) In short, vlog you put in most content that was possible. 2) You have been honest and truthful.
Thank you for that.
Very Well Put Sir!! Where can I read Your Material??Many thanks from Canada!!
I agree with your most points but on the role of Jamat islami you are describing a typical Indian stance. JI was defending Pakistan and providing s response to multi Bahani crested by India. Indian coercive role should be discussed and acknowledged but you choose not to. No country has the right to intervene into another country’s affair but India did and this hastened the process. There was indeed discontent but it was allowed to prosper due to India’s vested interest because India never accepted creation of Pakistan and thus presented a golden opportunity.
@Ashard Khwaja It is not an 'Indian stance' its a reality. Bangladesh courts recently awarded death penalty to JeI head for his actions in 1971.
Most 'Razakars' who formed the militia were from JeI.

As a Pakistani who has studied the facts of 1971, I don't have words to express to my Bangladeshi brothers and sisters how profoundly sorry I am.
What our ancestors did in the years leading up to Bangladesh's formation is absolutely horrific and deserving of the harshest punishment.
I wish there was a way we could take it all back, some way we could remedy those injustices. And if it's some consolation, I assure you the overwhelming majority of ordinary Pakistanis both then and now would hang their heads in shame if they knew the real history.
It's too much to ask but I hope today's generation of Bengalis can look past their grievances and anger and see us as their friends and brothers who want nothing but the very best for you and your country.

I was in my final semester last year when my Professor, who happened to be a Major as well, gave us a presentation on the split of East Pakistan. He made the presentation and handed us a script of it. We were asked to stick with it and let the "bygones be bygones". We were not allowed to say anything other than the script. God forbid if we did it, we probably would have failed the course.

Thanks brother.Love and respect from Bangladesh.
19:50 I differ with you sir on this point. USA and varioud other western allies gave total support to Pakistan. And USSR stood beside India due to Indo-Soviet treaty of 1971. And Even some various documents confirms the claim that USA was about to attack India using Nuclear weapons but Soviet backed Nuclear submarines already reached to Bay of Bengal and USA aborted their decision of using nuclear power against India.
Yes. U r right. The Nuclear threat delayed India's action & India was forced to go for 'Indo-USSR' friendship treaty by loosing its independent non-align status so as to decisively act.

There are many like him. But you have not come across.
Honest analysis Muzamil sir this is an eye opener. . Love your videos
Very wise meaningful and true analysis for those who love human dignity and survival of remaining Pakistan.
17:55 *I strongly Object at your point that Indian Government helped Mukti Wahini bcz they were fighting against Pakistan, our conventional enemy.. But the reality is that uncontrolled migration of Bengalis into India caused the Indian Government to intervene in this civil war of then Pakistan. Otherwise India would not have jumped into this war. There are evidences in which Indira Gandhi is asking for Western Countries help to ask Pakistan to stop atrocities on Bengalis.*
Pakistani always lie
Exactly! I am astonished that Indians are all going ga ga over this video, while he is verbalizing the subconscious belief of all Pakistanis that India is against it. That said, at least people like him are now waking up to the real world 🙂
He has still tried to find the facts and has done a great job. .. Even we are not 100% perfect in every analysis we do.
He is clearly stating a lot of facts that we as Indian bangalis have known since long. Great Job !

The first step towards rectification/restitution/improvement, is to acknowledge your errors. The tragedy of the subcontinent is that we never learn from our history. If you rewrite history by half-truths and misdirections, history will rewrite you. Well done Mr Muzammil, it takes a special kind of courage to speak out thus...but please, please do also exercise caution. Our subcontinental history tells us that we often (almost always) punish our truth-sayers in the most horrific manner.
Good job dear Mozammil

As a young person living in Calcutta during this period, I was a witness to this, but I do n ot see any mention of the millions of refugees who came to India.
That was a bollywood propaganda. Because the Bangladeshis stayed to fight the West Pakistani army and risked their lives to rescue Bengali Hindus families from getting graped and unalived for 9.5 months brother, because no one came to help.
India had also chosen winter for this operation strategically bcz in winter China can't come to that region bcz of heavy snow. Also Russia countered American naval fleet. That's why India and Russia has an emotional relationship.

Pakistan did changed the dna of bangladeshis. The current generation Bangladeshis are actually love Pakistan more then a Pakistani. Even some of them have desire to merge with Pakistan again.
I encountered this Hybrid young bangladeshis while I was traveling to Bangladesh.
The big example is during a Bangladesh Vs Pakistan cricket match played in Bangladesh( dhaka) this hybrid Bangladeshis were supporting Pakistan over their own country. Even this hybrid Bangladeshis are distancing themself from bangali culture and embracing Pakistani culture. I asked one of those hybrid Bangladeshis why? He said Bangali culture is indian hinduwani culture thats why they hate that culture.

(3) Maj Gen Nazar Hussain Shah (Punjabi), GOC 16 Div.
(4) Maj Gen Rao Farman Ali (Muhajir), ex Adviser to the Governor of East Pakistan.
(5) Plus 19 brigadiers.
Also Zulfiqar Bhutto a key actor in this sordid drama was "Sindhi".
Also calling any Pakistani elite a "Punjabi" is ridiculous if they are so ashamed of their language.
#5. Lt. Gen Khawaja Wasiuddin was from the Nawab Family of Dhaka. He returned to Bangladesh in 1974 by own choice. He was rumored to be recommended by C-in-C of Mukti Bahini Gen. Osmani to the post of Chief of Bangladesh Army, but President Sk. Mujib installed him in civil service instead to not create any seniority crisis in Bangladesh Army. He was Bangladesh's ambassador to the United Nations.
He is revered by Bengali officers and soliders who also served in Pakistan Army prior to 1971. He didn't give a damn to what the Pak high-ups would view it as but addressed the darbar of East Bengal Regiment units in Bangla language. His name plate in his house in Rawalpindi was inscribed in Bengali language.
Syed, you mentioned the story that has been narrated in the UN, USA, UK, and India.
One thing you forgot to mention... USA initially turned a blind eye about the Genocide and human rights issues going on in East Pakistan. When India presented the Genocide data to UN .... that is when China and the USA did not want to support Pakistan. Also, the involvement of Russia (with India) became an issue for the US.
You missed another very important point. Upon returning to Pakistan from the UN .... Butto said a very racist word about Bangaldeshi people. Some Pakistani ministers were shocked when he said that.
Itna sach nai bol sakta nai to jazba gand me ghus jaega
what racist thing did that clown say? lol I wonder if he ever looked himself in the mirror!
@Antara Anika Piya as per a close political colleague of his ... he called Bengalis "kala Bengali".

After independence, India too faced challenges due to linguistic diversity. Protests started in south India for reorganising states acc. to languages. Nehru was against this idea as he thought it to be a threat to our national unity & integrity. Commissions were formed they too rejected this idea. But eventually Nehru has to accept it. While Indian constitution ask for promoting hindi as communicating link in India instead of English, south India is still averse to this idea. North has their regional languages too but hindi has strong presence there. Lesson here is sometimes accepting diversity can be the reason for the unity & cohesion. India is a strong example of that. Every state has its own culture, food, language, identity.
True! And that repulsion to Hindi in South India has kept English alive in the country, which eventually gave us an edge in the services sector, helping us develop a robust economy that exports services and brings foreign exchange into the country. Sometimes, listening to your own people instead of imposing something helps.
Bahut khoob........
