I couldn't imagine how hard it was for you. You had all these crazy people who just wanted to see you undressed and most likely missed your best attributes. That was not just natural beauty but the way you carried yourself. I saw a strong, intelligent, and confident woman. I wouldn't be suprised if you ever felt forced into some roles or it just happened to be the best offer at the time. I believe your the most underrated actress of all time. It had everthing to do with TALENT. You can take over a scene anytime you wanted. For awhile Tom Hanks could do a film like Cast Away and it was basically just him. She nailed it but I like how they refined her character in the final movie. She's too cheery here and more serious instead of flirty when she needs to be. Not sure if that's just how rushed screen tests are.
Sharon's career took off right after Basic Instinct and she nailed that part and she did Sliver, Intersection, The Quick & The Dead, Sphere, The Mighty, Gloria, Casino another good movie she was in Action Jackson, Total Recall! She was one of the most beautiful People in 1992! Basic Instinct 2 Risk Addiction wasn't bad and Basic Instinct didn't make me feel like victim! Sharon is great at bad girl roles!

Sharon Stone is really, really good. She did a 2-part episode on Magnum PI called "Echoes of the Mind" that is nothing short of brilliant. Her performance in Basic Instinct was sheer genius. Sharon's a great actress with a lot of depth.
In an interview she said that she kept auditioning for 8 months!! that they didn't want her since the beginning, that they wanted Michelle Pfeiffer, and Pfeiffer declined, but they kept auditioning every single more famous actress , and she kept going back for more tests, and I think at some point she said "Enough", I won't keep auditioning, if you want me, you have my audition already...hard to believe that they couldn't book her immediately LOL!

Not necessarily a bad actress, but I think after Basic Instinct her acting organism got stuck permanently on "femme fatale", same thing that happened to Britney Spears.
