West bengal allows 1 time payment for Bike road tax over 250cc= Rs 6,250, which i think is much cheaper.

I am based out of Pune. In Karnataka it’s still not allowed for a private company employee to apply for this number plate. That’s a sad point actually 😞
one major problem with BH is, you have to submit form-60 every 2 years to renew. So if you switch job and your new company is not in 4 states you have take non-BH number.

No. You not have to re submit F60 for every 2 years.

Hi Nitish, in the Form60 working certificate, is it okay if the permanent address is in a different state other than the state from which I'm buying?
E.g. My permanent address is in Maharashtra, but currently I live in Gurgaon and wanna buy the bike from there... Hence Haryana RTO will issue the BH number.
AFAIK Form 60 working certificate doesn’t contain permanent address. It wasn’t there in my organisations Working Certificate format.

Contact your hr for a proof validation of company locations. Your company should be atleast in 4 states

Yes, you are. It also depends on the state you reside in. You will have to check with your RTO.
But if u change your company and the new company is not eligible thn u would need to re register the bike

Can I purchase the vehicles from other states. Do I need permanent proof or local address proof for purchasing it from other state.
You will have to purchase the motorcycle from the state you reside in, because you will be able to furnish your residential address from there. Hence you need a local address.

They should give a choice whoever wants to take it can go for it
They should keep a higher tax rate for it
Actually it’s not a rubbish implementation bro.. it’s a very good implementation. Rules are Vehicle owner friendly. It’s for those who keep getting transferred or keep moving around the country for their work.
Now the problem is with individual state governments. Every state wants to have their share of Road Tax as tax is by far the most easiest and a major contributor to their revenues which they can use to spend all through the year for various activities.
Now every state government wants that money hence the rule - pay once in 2 years for 7 times this you end up using the vehicle for its life(15 years)
An owner of a vehicle - for first 2 years might live in Pune where he would have paid the road taxes in MH and then let’s say he/she gets transferred to Indore where they will pay road tax to MP for next two years.
Thus both the state government will make money.
Before this rule, owner had to pay the new state compete road tax which was a stupid rule in actual.

That’s not true. I have a car which has “C” and I bought the car in month of September. So that doesn’t make sense.
But on the other hand I bought this bike in December and that is month 12 and M stands for 12( excluding “I”). That logic fits here but doesn’t fit my Car which ends with alphabet “C”.

Yes and No. Yes because plain sight mein same hain but paying once in 2 years(considering inflation the value is less).
If someone is buying the bike on loan then that person will have to pay extra interest on the amount borrowed from the bank.
Let’s say, it’s cheaper to borrow 3 lacs than 3.4 lacs. Woh jo extra 40K par interest lagta hain that is saved here. Then you pay once in 2 years, which you will save in that 2 years and pay for BH renewal.
