You can also poke small holes in random areas on it and with a dab of hot glue insert plastic plants.
Maybe a more organically shaped entrance? Straight lines rarely occur in nature. 😉

It could be just me but it seems like you have a habit of putting lots of solid work into your projects until you get to the very lest few steps and which point you get sick of it or just get lazy and throw in the towel. From that point you just wing it and finish with haphazard effort and thus mediocre results.
