- Jeff Stanfield & Andy Shaver are joined by author and bear attack survivor, Jeremy Evans. In the summer of 2017, while on a ram hunt, Jeremy found himself between a Grizzly cub and its mother. What happened next is one of the most gruesome bear attacks that any human has ever been able to survive. Jeremy retells of the attack from that day and his extreme fight for survival on his trek to find safety.
I came here to listen to this man's story. It's amazing he's still alive!
Definitely one of the best guests y’all have had on. Very tough man right there.
Good questions unlike the other 2 interviews I just watched. Thank you guys.
Amazing interview guys. I for one appreciated the banter, kept the interview moving. Great interview with a heck of a character.
This man's explanation of his flashbacks are the best description of actual ptsd that i have heard, after his daughter triggered an episode, and he thought the chaos was because the bear was back.
Met his sister at City College, she loves you Jeremy! Can't wait to see your movie!!! Praise God you made it through! There's a reason your here, never forget, you are loved!!!Stay strong Jeremy, we need you!!!❤❤❤
Hi I just listened to his story and it was amazing!!! You spoke about a movie about what happened to him. Was that a joke or is there really a movie about this???? ❤🥰 Thank you for your time and praise God 🙏🏻😁
Yes there is a movie coming! And I apologize but you'll have to wait and see when the movie comes out!!! A true HERO!!!Many blessings 🙌🙏✨️❤️
@@kamalaworth9943omg this would make such a good movie!! he’s a true legend
Wow what fortitude from this man to make it out and survive,God still has a plan for him and his story to tell 🙏
I found this bc I saw Emmy Eatons interview w Jeremy. This one was far superior. Best interview I’ve seen in a long long time. Great moderation! Jeremy had me in tears a couple of times. Very moving ❣️ I’m so glad you made it back to civilization , help and your family. Your strength awed me. Thanks for sharing.
I just finished Jeremy’s book, Mauled: lessons learned from a grizzly bear attack. Now, coming back to hear podcast again. Your descriptions of the attacks kept me tearing up. Emotionally evocative story. Your survival speaks volumes about your thoughts and emotions. Beautiful ending. I’m so glad your flashbacks have ended. I hope that treatment works for so many other victims of trauma. Best wishes to your and your family 🌹
This man needs to be on Joe Rogans podcast
💯!!!
Assuming his story of the total injuries is honest (i'm not saying it's not), whoever did his facial reconstruction was amazing.
Oh he's not exaggerating. He took a selfie of the injuries, look it up if you have a strong stomach.
On another podcast they actually go into this. The plastic surgeon sees a photo family on the wall and comments: ohh... I wish I'd seen this sooner, I would've done a better job.
Hahaha
The story is amazing, just getting back to his truck was a mission in itself and then driving with virtually no vision to the holiday lodge with sheer cliffs and he took it all in his stride once he'd decided to fight for survival knowing how it would devestate his wife and duaghter, what a guy. At least he can now head butt someone if needed without suffering any pain himself. Pro's and con's.
This was just amazing & I loved listening to this really. And omg I can't believe how he looks now. Those doctor or doctors really just done a amazing job putting him back together! I subbed and liked the video I hope to hear some amazing stories like this in the future
WOW!!! He watched the Revanant in hospital. PTSD anyone? I'm from London, UK so there aren't too many bears I'll ever encounter, but I've been to the west coast of the US, around san Fran and visited a couple of parks there and if I do happen to meet a bear cub I will immediately pull out the bear spray as the mum is never too far away as I don't want my face ripped off. I'd say gun, but not being from the US I'm not likely to be able to get hold of one just to go for a walk in a park.
Good article in Newsweek too. I’ll check out your book!
Just like a man stepping into your home where your kids are at. Lucky isn't the correct word it's his ability to stay calm and collected.
Im amazed by his story!!
Wow!!! I am completely amazed.
Wow , hes lucky to be alive. Serious question. i bet he gets a lot of trouble in airports with all the titanium in his head. I feel so bad for him Thank god he can still talk and walk.
Titanium doesn’t go off on those metal detectors. My spine is full of titanium from a couple surgeries and I’ve never had any issues
God Bless ❤❤❤❤
WOW amazing god bless
Toughest man in the history of humanity!
He’s definitely up there!
What fortitude by this man to make it out and survive,God must still have a plan for him and a story to tell 🙏
Y’all ever saw the movie backcountry?
He is telling the story differently than the podcast i first listened to?
Sounds the same to me. Only difference I noticed is he said 5-6' rather than 6' which isn't even a thing.
Ya sounds the same
Great interview flow as well
Really....you think interrupting the guest constantly is "great flow" 🙄
I know I’m terrible but I was trying to find the pictures he took of the aftermath but I can’t because the internet is censored now. Anyone know where to find them?
Reddit
@@jasminevergara6632 I checked. Can you link one?
I did search on it yesterday and found it on instagram via google., it was after the 2nd attack. sure gave me some chills but also realised that he got more mauled after that picture was taken..in the 3rd attack. I wont post the link here. I will not link it here due to show respect to him and his family (hope my english is okay)
@prolly2stoned420, from what I heard, the initial selfie is in his book. I haven't read it, so I'm not sure if the damage after the 3rd attack is in it. I think he said that he took pictures but he didn't publish them in the book. If you have a weak stomach I wouldn't.
sooo....He hunts Sheep deep in the country in shorts without a rifle ready to go or a side arm at the ready either and on a bike.......? ANYONE? Look congrats to the dude for surviving what he did but....some things im SURE to most big hunters do not add up.....come on if were being honest......DIGGING OUT MY BEAR SPRAY other than just the loud bang from my rifle is the BEST course of action?
Holy shit
Shut up and let him tell the story.
Ikr....terrible interview
For real. These guys aren’t interesting or entertaining at all they should be so thankful to have a guest with a good story.
@joerogan !!!!!
This is my first and last episode of this podcast...ive never heard such BLATHERING from the hosts. Stfu
We sure appreciate you giving us a listen... sorry we didn't deliver.
Why is he burping so much? Does he have indigestion?
Are you stupid? He’s never going heal completely from his injuries. Prolly got his vocal cords and throat too. I saw the pic and it was horrible. Be more sensitive with your comment.
I really wish ye wouldnt interrupt the guest whole hes in the flow of his story...its so annoying
