  • Watch this video for an in depth historical account of what led to the bombing of the original Elmina town on Friday the the 13th 1873. This bombing led to the total distraction of a once vibrant trading town of 12,000 plus people. The Elmina town was wiped off the face of the map after this event and the British did not allow for the town to be rebuilt. It took close to another hundred years for the town to return to any semblance of what it used to look like.
