I'm a Farm science student In the final year of my course we have to stay in a village for 3 months as a part of our syllabus. And we got a village full of "STs" and half of the village people had degrees, then on the first day of meeting with villagers they said 'If you have any SCs in your team then don't come to our houses we don't allow them' and hearing this I realised that the caste system in India has grown beyond my thinking , even education also failed to eradicate it.

bhai, ek baar mujhe ek ladki se pyaar ho gaya, she was working as nurse and i was working in same hospital, later on after so much dikkat we started to come close, since i look good and very educated she always though i am brahmin or some higher caste, but when she came to know i am SC she stopped speaking to me.. this is india.. actually she is brahmin.. after that i married to my own caste and my wife is very happy to marry me.

Sir, I am a CS student. Had an interest in polity and civics but had to give up because of my parents's wishes. I consume a lot of political content. I certainly do not watch TV but just a variation of a couple of CZcams channels. Recently watched your videos. I don't know if our ideology aligns but I definitely appreciate your lessons.
I am also cs student intrested in politics . we don't have to match ideology to agree with each other we just first have to listen each other and have conversation. I openly say i follow Hindutva Ideology and you are free to criticize me or agree with me doesn't matter with side you are from I know Brahmin who are communist and SC friend who Is more religious than me. I was extreme left supporter one time and one time extreme Right supporter. But now I am not centrist but close to that.
Being a cs or even preping for it doesn't require ideologies to be matched, it means accepted other people's ideologies while being respectful, u dont need to match principle opinion and ideolgies, and this is something thats gonna help u in ur cs career

I never faced casteism..... That was until I stepped out for college and entered the real world of urban as well as rural India. Imagine, not even being from SC/ST yet you feel what they might suffer. That's empathy.
It's then I realised how deep rooted casteism is in our country and people play blame game ki - British ne banai.
When I read Geeta, it's clearly written "that varna Maine banai", I realised how ingrained it is in our culture.

I also faced casteism when I entered the job market. During my studies no one asked me about caste. Even though I belong to the upper caste i was facing casteism. Because I am a lower caste baniya that I know when someone from my office told me about that. Think about sc, st what they are facing.

If brahmin community is privileged, then when is there so much poverty even among them. Today, in states like tamilnadu, brahmins were targetted and threatened just because of their caste.
Well, answering such questions is not a part of their propaganda. In Bihar, just for the sake of equal opportunities, they increased the reservation quota but still no questions were asked to them why weren't they able to provide equal representation despite 50 per cent reservation from past 7 decades.

INTRCASTE marriage is the only solution
If every house has members from different castes, then noone point fingers at others houses
it is one indeed most would wish to happen. But it is not possible, specially for more 100 years. People still fear for cultural shock that they witness going into different caste or jaat. Missing out on ones identity is biggest fear that every sect and jaat has in our society. Even people from one region do not feel safe to give their daguhters into different region. Another thing is the perpetual abuse of this concept by some castist lower caste miscrents. If they start to mistreat women of upper caste after marrying them, this will also impact this narrative. Afterall my view is that one should first see the person for who he/she is, there's no guarantee of perosn. Then jaat or caste hould not serve anymore criteria for marrying.
Intercast was not encouraged by our govt and constitution. They should make provision to avail reservation if inter cast marriage is executed. If there is no incentive humans will not change behaviour.. if any govt tries to do that to make society caste less reservation beneficiary castes will pull the govt in next election ..

Today too no discrimination happens in any Gurudwara.

When govt distributes caste certtificates, casteism shouldn't be a surprise.
Article 16 talks about "equal opportunities in public employment", Article 15 about prohibition of discrimination and article 17 abolition of untouchable and prohibition in its practice. So why sir article 16 come in place after article 15 not 17 ?. Hope everyone got my question.

I am not a UPSC aspirant, and I live in Canada. Recently, my wife visited a retail store here where she met an Indian aunty who was giving out free food samples. They started chatting casually, and after talking for about 10-15 minutes, my wife said goodbye and was about to leave. However, the aunty, who has been living in Canada for the past 50 years, called her back and asked, "Beta, what is your caste?" 😅It seems caste is important all around the world, not only in India.

I have said, time and again, it was a missed opportunity to not recommend this movie for Oscars. This would have been a stand out and won a lot of accolades for India, if not the Oscar itself. Instead, Gully Boy was nominated, which in my view was less deserving than Article 15.
But this fellow still uses srivastava surname despite knowing that it is showing his gotra!!
There is a difference between using your caste name and doing discrimination based on caste.

There is one way forward and fastest way for forming casteless society leave Hinduism. As long as you are Hindu you must have caste you are born with. no escape. Caste or casteism is a central feature of Hinduism. There are many layers of it. Hindus are not only living in a fractured society.
