I can tell you firsthand that many who started preparing for the UPSC Exam with the dream of becoming IAS/IFS officers in 2024 have now dropped their plans to even appear in 2024. Why? Because they think they are not 'adequately' prepared, and they will give their best shot in 2025 now. Please do not make that mistake, and do not take a gap year. You will ruin your life!
If you are eligible to write the exam in 2024 and can dedicate around 10 hours per day to your preparations, please do not postpone your plans. Please do not make UPSC a 5-year plan.
The following should be your go-to strategy now. Just stay consistent, and you will crack the Prelims. Dedicate 10 hours per day, and here is how you should go about it.
    NEETU SINGH
    1. January & February:
Complete History (Ancient, Medieval, Modern) + Economics + pick up any test series to solve 30 questions daily (from February onwards). Dr. Jahnavi recently uploaded it on the LinkedIn Alumni Group.
Watch 2 episodes daily on the MisFits Learning Portal on Economics and History. How will this help?
After completion of these modules, you would have developed an innate ability to make better conjectures.
You will be better positioned to read through current affairs (via newspapers), or when you are making notes while solving the tests.
At least for Economics, you’d see more than 90% accuracy. It could reach even 95-100% if you watch the lectures twice. For history, it should be around 60%, but if you can make diligent notes from the Test Series, and revise those notes, that accuracy should reach around 80-85% (which is actually pretty good).
    Manuj Jindal
Don’t worry about the Mains at this stage. Inadvertently, you’d be prepared for the Mains - we took a lot of effort to make sure that these video lessons cover things comprehensively. The only difference in Mains vs. Prelims preparation is how you go about solving test papers, and the focus on remembering certain specificities.
Please watch through the session before Episode 19 (under the Geography heading) for my thoughts on Prelims 2024, and how you should make the best use of MisFits Episodes + Tests.
    2. March & April:
Complete Geography, Environment, Science and tech.
Watch 2 episodes daily on the MisFits Learning Portal + Solve Test Papers (as shared on the LinkedIn Alumni Group). How will this help?
A large part is static & conceptual - if you have learned those concepts well, you should get good accuracy in these subjects.
You would have logically solved many UPSC Prelims & Mains questions and will be well-positioned to solve potential questions from this part.
Aspects of mapping would also be covered via this.
    3. Last Week of April + May (until the 2nd week):
Watch through Polity and Governance Episodes on the MisFits Portal.
    • Is India becoming a DI...
Watch 2 episodes daily on the MisFits Learning Portal. The reason for covering Polity at the end is so that some factual data checked in the exam are fresh in your mind as/when you write the UPSC.
Polity for Prelims is very predictable; 20% effort here would yield 80% returns. By this time, you will be adequately prepared to better grasp Polity (because you can see the interconnections I have made across Geography, Environment, Economics, etc., for all of you).
If you had followed the above methods, you would have completed the following things by the 2nd week of May:
    1. Foundations of History, Economics, Polity, Governance, Geography, Science & Tech, and Society.
    2. Current Affairs via solving around 30 Contemporary Test Papers. (Retaining information via these current affairs would be much easier for you because your foundations
    3. Past 14 years of UPSC official papers.
But, wait. Cracking Prelims is not the only thing. You won’t get medals for this. The next stage is extremely critical. Focus on cracking the exam in one go. How will that happen?
After your Prelims - take a 1-week break. And then do the following:
Step 1: Watch through the Playlist on Foreign Policy Classroom with Amb. Anil Trigunyat.
Step 2: Watch through the Playlist on Essays (250 Marks).
Step 3: Watch through the Masterclass on Structures.
Step 4: Watch through the Playlist on Ethics (250 Marks).
Step 5: Revise Economics until your UPSC Prelims Result is out!
    • Video
Keep attending special sessions - where I will cover some issues from scratch.
Be part of answer writing communities at MisFits (after your Prelims Result).
Additionally, your Mains GS is done along with the above episodes. Focus your 3 months on Optionals.
After your Mains - There will be a series of around 7-10 lectures that will help you in getting 200+ in the interviews.

because we Assamese don't want t o see these vote bank politics anymore. Congress made Bangladeshi muslims as their vote bank and BJP is doing this. You see, the naturalisation process is always there, but when these EXISTING BANGLADESHIS or these religious Minorities, will get the voting right, will also compete for job etc, what will happen to a state like Assam which is burdened with influx since ages. Don't know about rest of the country, but in Assam we want the safeguard of the Clause 6 of historic ASSAM ACCORD, that's it, that's what we want. The Northeastern states except Assam has ILP system, why not in Assam ? Why these legislatures shows reluctancy in implementing such provisions ? Also if they mention about religious prosecution proving the fact that they are doing religious prosecution is close to impossible. India will not even think of losing its only friendly neighbor Bangladesh by dragging them and accusing them of religious prosecution.

The problem with this CJI’s son’s argument is that he has no clue what this laws root cause was… he is ill informed. Congress under Nehru / Gandhi did not wanted India to split into multiple countries of afghan Pakistan or Bangladesh till the day of partition.. simply because Gandhi was a eccentric man who had more power to decide on what’s good for Pakistanis of partition time because of Congress treating him like god. If Gandhi was ready to work with British around 1943 before end of world war 2, British wanted to work with Nehru and Jinnah to plan, border decisions , knowledge transfer and training of Indian and Pakistan bureaucrats before partition was announced so that the transition will be smooth… since Gandhi s adamant nature did not allow British to plan the drawing of borders as well as training of Indians / Pakistanis over the course of 1943 to 1947, British had to forcefully send Mountbatten to decide border and hastily announce independence which lead to blood bath. Gandhi unknowingly was reason for millions of Hindus Muslims Sikhs being massacred… since in this hasty sudden migration, many( Hindus Christian’s Sikhs jains) in villages and remote places who were unaware of how evil a Muslim majority country will become and stayed back. Today their population is almost wiped out and they have come to India and been living as undocumented for decades in India because India does not give them citizenship…
In Pakistan once cannot declare themselves as atheist after being a Muslim. If India gives citizenship to atheists in Pakistan , ISI can send spies in the name of atheists.. also the moment these people announce they are atheist in Pakistan, they will be either 40% lynched by fellow citizens or jailed by Pakistan law. Forget about they getting a chance to come to India… this is a stupid argument from a kid who has lot to learn about India history..: Plus why not Jews and others ? These people never were having any rivalry during partition and were also free to move where they wanted… most likely there will be 6 to 8 Jews who has zero cognitive skills comparable to yours who think they will be able to live in Pakistan where Islamists are waiting ti slay them because of hate that comes from times of 6 th century of Islamic rise.

What an incredulous assertion, my friend. Take heed of Sir's words attentively and then reevaluate your own comment. Whether you acknowledge it or not, it's an undeniable reality that a dynastic propensity pervades every sphere.Sir is neither endorsing nor condemning it; he is merely articulating it as a verifiable truth. Moreover, if we were in their shoes, the likelihood is high that the same trajectory would ensue for us as well. China has taken over the Buddhist country, and Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan are minorities in those countries, so there's no harm in including them under the CAA. Jews have their own country without discrimination, so the CAA's provisions are reasonable. It's just a matter of perspective, and laws don't change how people see things. Even if you hold a prominent position, you aren't always right. Therefore, the CAA is perfectly justifiable.

it is actually a good point you rose but let me tell you instead ...Naman give example of Adnan Sami he was stateless for 1 year before being citizen of India there is news article where he mention its draw backs. Refugee has numerous restriction until and unless he is some rich dude and trust me we guys are still arguing on legal way for citizen ship thee are other ill legal way from which Bangladeshi and Rohingyas are getting in . Politicians give them all these same citizenships resources the matter of months they come to India for being vote bank. I beileve Illegal part need to be explored more....we might have a secret Invasion built up under our nose.

BJP want votes of the refugee as well as of the majority by selling the propaganda that minorities in Pakistan Bangladesh and Afghanistan are treated inhumanly but their own party agenda is to treat minority is very well known to the masses

I think what Abhinav Chadrachud says is correct because India is a secular country unlike Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Besides, selective provisions in CAA is fuels the divisive sentiment of existing government, it's enough giving the existing govt the benefit of doubt but their intentions are absolutely clear now to common people.

Please consider NRC when talking about CAA.
Also if the enemy can send someone as atheist what is stopping them by sending some as Hindu or other mentioned religion?
Also, the people are already in India so what is the issue then? Then what is the need of CAA? Other than the vote bank of the BJP. Not accusing any supporter but just putting a point.
The favour of some religion over others is also an injustice. If law has to be drafted it should be on the basis of migration dates not religious background.

I agree with most of what you said and looking at CAA by itself as a stand-alone bill, I don't see much problem with it. However, I think the huge outcry and protests against it come from the fact that CAA was introduced around the same time as NRC. Together, working in tandem, I think CAA and NRC can have huge consequences. I would love to hear your thoughts about this.

Plus given that these countries are declared "ISLAMIC REPUBLIC", India has not given pass to Hindus of Bhutan too, and there is enough credible data that Hindus have been persecuted there in a significant scale.

How do you classify a person who is religiously persecuted ?
I know the system of our country. Bribery is common and If a person who has money then he can easily be an Indian.
If you see the data of Asam only the poor are excluded in NRC.
If a person comes to India to live only for its advantages better than those countries , how can you investigate that he/she is religiously persecuted. Those countries obviously will refuse that claim .

There is a fraternity, but its benefit is confined to those within that corporation. For those who are outside the corporation, there is nothing but contempt and enmity." - This is said by Ambhedkar and Baba Saheb clearly mentioned complete exchange of population.

This might sound ridiculous to many.. but I believe India doesn’t need immigrants of any religion or nationality.. we have one of the largest population which we haven’t used to good effect.. our country is missing on its demographic dividend.. we should focus on our people first..

In modern day ex:- giving khalistani and making amendment (caa) khalistani eligible to get citizenship in india what make sense in that
if india dont take that step minority's get eradicate in those country's, (IF INDIA DONT DO THAT NO ONE CAN DO), this make burden on 🇮🇳 india (scarce resources) our people will suffer irrespective of religion, caste for food, shelter and mainly for water
POV:- if india do not strict on this regard no future for india (may be india not exist in future) china Pakistan will occupy india, india Already fragmented because of partition pak🇵🇰, Epak🇧🇩, 🇦🇫 etc study history, india must be strict on this case

While it's understandable to look into CAA from a multidimensional perspective but the Point that Mr. Chandrachud is making is a purely legal one. Article 14 ensures that those in similar situations are given equal treaty and therefore if the ground is "religious persecution" to grant citizenship, there cannot be any distinction drawn between any religious community. Creating a expedite process for some and not for others without any reasonable justification does violate constitutional norms.
