I'm actually not seeing a proper insert. It looks half-baked to me, like they were planning on doing an insert, and then gave up. There's no dividers just slots for them.
That's fair. I'm hoping we'll see dividers in the final retail boxes; after fighting to organise content in their older box designs it's certainly a step in the right direction.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see dividers later. They even have the cut out areas for them.
Rolling Solo so cheap skate like to not have dividers when they made slots for them. I’m a big fan of Fantasy Flights games but they make some bone head moves
Sometimes third party ones are the nicest. So there’s that. We shall see first!
Rolling Solo doesn’t take my excitement for the game away though. Pumped for when you do a play through
@@joshroberts8278 I can't tell you how disappointing that is. Like they listened to their fans and said "oh you want organization? Here's a plastic thing for your box. We'll let you figure out how to keep all these cards separated." Like damn, put some freaking dividers in there and this would have been perfect! It'll be in a $45 expansion a year from now. This may be enough to skip the purchase for me.

Rolling Solo nice. I have a feeling that this will be my lcg of choice. I like AH and LoTR, but I’m super pumped for some Marvel.
There are some very big Marvel fans out there (with the help of the movies these days) so that makes sense :)
I imagine LOTR will have another surge when the TV show lands.

Wow couldn't believe my eyes when I saw an insert, finally.
That's been one of my pet hates with FFG over the years.
Probably not the most practical for the game but hey, it's in there.
I’m going to hold out hope for dividers seeing as the grooves are already there. If not the fan market will certainly make it happen!

I played a demo at gencon and thought it was great. So much simpler than lord of the rings and arkham and with a more widely appealing theme. As much as I love soloing those games I'm hopeful I can get this played more often as a group.
I feel like group play with this would also be a blast. Here’s hoping! :)

Yea, would be good to see a play through and about time FFG did a insert for its LCG’s. Hope they do rethink there cycle releasing. Was next to impossible to keep up with LOTR:LCG
Right? Very happy about that! As long as the gameplay and packs releases are well built I don’t mind the release rate. I picked up all the LOTR slowly over time. You don’t need to have it all. Better to enjoy over time imo.
Rolling Solo yea, I only have a few cycles of LOTR, now and then I buy more when I see them in the LFGS

At the moment not so much as there are no dividers. This could have been done on purpose or an oversight. Not sure which. However, I’ve already heard rumblings of their party dividers being put together. So the community will make it happen at the bare minimum :)

Just like FFG did with KeyForge, I expect that we'll soon have tokens to replace the Tough, Confused, and Stunned mini cards. I expect that a lot of third parties (e.g., Team Covenant) will create custom acryclic tokens before then.

You bet! I’ll be running through the entry level one for learning purposes first. Then looking into others or ramping up that intro scenario to its highest level.

Björn - Brence - Bonten the insert sucks. Doesn’t fit cards in FFG’s own sleeves as the insert tapers at the bottom. Such a waste.
I would like to see it played before I think about getting it. So far the only Superhero based card game I enjoy is Sentinels of the Multiverse because it doesn't have any deck building. The Deck building ones get weird for me cause continuity wise its like why is Superman using Batmans utility belt, or Iron Man using Thor's Hammer. This does look like it seprates it better the other Marvel and DC Deck building games.

Hi Adam! thanks for the video. I am 100% with you: a proper insert in an FFG box!??? Incredible! Great! May they keep doing this for a long time! (It also means they've made the box thick enough for cards to be placed on thei sides, contrary to the LOTR LCG core box, for instance. Neat!)
I like the idea of a playthrough. Would you play with just 1 hero? I don't think anyone has done that yet.
One question for you: is there a good bit of story in the cards? I mean the "villain's scheme thing" deck and the "villain cards" deck. I bet the villain scheme does, since it is a progression. But what about the villain's character cards? Do they intersede other cards to bring a bit of a story out, or is it really just a straight-up brawl?
I think one hero would be the perfect way to play. We shall see however! Thanks for letting me know you’re interested in a playthrough. Those are all great question I hope to soon find out!

Thanks! Great vid. I can't tell from what I've seen so far, but do you know if this LCG is like the others from FFG where you pretty much need to buy two core sets to play tougher scenarios/expert levels?
Hey popmon! As far as I can tell one core seems to be enough to use expert mode. You add three specific treachery cards into your deck and only go after Stage 2 and Stage 3 for the villain. This is considered expert mode in the core box at this point. Cheers!

Those black pieces at 4:48 don’t appear to be able to fit into the health gauge wheels. Did you have the same problem?
They do in fact fit. At least mine did!
I believe it's a tight fit. Just ensure you put the female end through first I believe.
I figured out you have to pull them apart. The instructions didn’t say so, so that’s why I was stuck.
Hey how many cards are in the box? it's 50 cards per deck right, so is there 400 in the box? Just planning for sleeving purposes.

I'll get the game, but I'm not keen on getting every expansion that comes out. I hope there will be those expansions that I can just outright skip.
There’s never a rush to get everything. Get it at the pace you’re playing the game. Otherwise you’re just spending money with no gain!
Fortunately the new release strategy seems fairly amenable to skipping releases.
saluk You only need to pickup what you plan to play. They reprint LCGs often enough. LOTR was tough as it was there first go but AH LCG hasn’t been an issue from what I can tell.
@@RollingSolo If I would get through the content faster I wouldn't have to wait for the reprints :P The nice thing with Marvel is every pack (announced so far) seems to be a one off instead of making it where you kind of have to have all of the releases from a cycle. So if you are waiting for a reprint you can still grab whatever is in stock and enjoy it.

Doesnt look much different than their other offerings in the LCG arena. I wonder why they are charging so much for it. I guess just inflation. Love to get it, but gonna pass. I'd pay $25 for it. Not $50.
