I saw this pen in person at a local store, but it looked so much like the transparent I didn't think I wanted it. You made the pen look dark and luscious. Regarding ECOs I love them and it’s funny I don’t even notice any difference with the regular vs T. I was nervous getting my saffron, but it’s great. I was telling manda in her comments that I’d love them to release a pink! I need pink!
They did do two pinks! I don't have the pastel, but I did get the regular one in an EF. (Obviously not my first pick.) I'd love a magenta, personally. I don't think this is that similar to the transparent purple, because this one leans more to the warm side. But then I also don't mind many similar pens. 🤣😍🥰

I got mine on Friday, it has a broad nib and I inked it with Private Reserve Infinity Violet. Not that a TWSBI would need an Infinity ink, I just liked the color combo… 😆
Yeah I really like this color. Smart to stay away from pens you know you don't like. 🥰 I've definitely fallen for the trap of "everyone else loves it, I must love it too". That's how I wound up with EF nibs on my first fountain pens. 🤣

It is currently in my cart! But I am waffling between the B and the 1.1 stub nib. It will probably remain there until I have added enough to get free shipping and then I will have to decide. 😄 That shade purple ink is the color that I have 3 of "that are all totally different, I swear". I might be about to add a 4th.
She's back! Oh wow! An ink I own in a pen where I've got something similar! Monboddo's Hat is a really nice purple and is very well behaved IMHO. I have a TWSBI Eco (completely clear, not a T model) and it's a really nice pen - I enjoy writing with it and it's always reliable. (Mine has Birmingham Cold Steel in it - almost black!) Today is a new pen day here as well! Just put the finishing touches on a new Frankenpen for my best pen friend: a Platinum Preppy feed and nib installed into a Jinhao 9016 body! Took some mods to the cap and one nib did get hurt / bent in the process...but hey...it's a Platinum Preppy nib so who cares! 🤣Just waiting for the glue to dry and it will be ready for it's first real test-write. I have several pens with the same ink in them - probably two of them now have Monboddo's Hat and I'm sure I've got Birmingham Snowflake in at least three different pens right now. Nothing wrong with that at all! Hey Maria, you're doing great!🥰🥰🥰
Oh I forgot to say - the Mnemohoweveryousayit 🤣notebooks are REALLY nice. Best pen friend gave me one and it's NICE. Best pen friend and I *love* the block at the top, but I could see how a plain page could be preferred by others. 🥰
The block at the top isn't bad, but I got mine for taking notes on stuff I read or making an outline for talks I give, and it's unnecessary for me for those purposes. Still a fantastic notebook!
I just got my Pilot Metropolitan from Goulet on the same day this video went up! I'm going to order this pen next, I love the way it looks and I definitely want the larger ink reservoir!
I love Monbado’s hat. I have it on my to get list. I have the Creepy Little Skulls pen from Shibui North and I think that pair would be perfect together. That ink certainly matches your new TWSBI to a tee.🫶👌

That pen sounds awesome! I like the BPC inks I have, but I'm not keen on buying really large bottles. Heh 😅
