A lot of those criticisms are from people who stumbled upon important items by pure luck, without finding the hint first, and assumed that pure luck was the only way to find it. The RPG mechanics didn’t only introduce the experience system that died with AoL; it also introduced the magic meter that lived on in ALttP, OoT, and MM. Nobody criticizes the magic meter in those games. Everyone who once hated AoL needs to go back and play it again for the first time. The world wasn’t ready for it. I think it is now.

The ALTTP light world dungeon theme is one of my favorite video games compositions of all time. What an absolute monster of a cover! I love what you did with that ominous opening, and throughout the whole thing there is so much tone. You guys are a big inspiration, keep up the amazing stuff.

one part i particularly enjoyed was in the zelda 2 dungeon theme, the little ornament the guitar to the right makes with a palm mute near 4:54 ....it's just perfect. just 3 muted notes....but such an impact those 3 notes make.
