I know what I’m playing on Halloween 🎃 night while giving out candy!! Thanks for the Halloween treat bro’s ! Within these Castle Walls was fantastic
You guys are way better players than you used to be. Ever think of re-recording the original Castlevania medley from 2011?
Thanks for this awesomeness.
Incredible guys!
Now, beat this game!
I absolutely adore how you literally played a dialogue box omg
Agreed!!!
Yes!
Lol...i remember before i had gold enough for the thorn whip i was so afraid of that box of text...
It is the best!!!!!
@@harlequin2280 exactly! It's like, you want that whip, or you want the best ending? You can't have both, kid!
Gentlemen, thank you for existing.
This has the best music out of all of the Castlevania games.
💯%!!!!!😁👍🏼
Yeah this game genuinely scared me as a kid because of the music.
Agreed. If only the game had been better :(
@@ajpyyz I disagree with the first part, but wholly agree with the second part.
People throw the word "underrated" around a lot with classic games, but I think it really applies here.
@@ajpyyz The gameplay is way better than Castlevania 1 and 3, but they threw some random puzzles, almost impossible to solve.
The Silence of Daylight cover rips so hard. Love it, guys.
Wish we could get 15 minutes on repeat
And just like that I'm eight years old again playing on my NES. Happy days. Thanks for the memories guys. Big grin on my face listening to this.
We must be the same age. I'm a '79 model. 😎
Simons Quest was the first Castlevania I played as a child and the music to me is still the best out of the whole franchise and this video brought all of the music back to life in a awesome way ! You guys are the best !!! Your renditions of video game music is top tier! Great job like always ! 😎👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Seriously. So hard to do justice to bloody tears, and they nailed it.
@@foil26 exactly !!
Maybe you'll like this, only found this a year or 2 ago, it's called Vomitron and have 2 albums of Nintendo metal! czcams.com/video/RwGyFuE-XW0/video.html
@@theDubleD not bad ! Definitely an interesting take on the Simons Quest music. Original and or remakes -you can’t go wrong with the CV2 music 🙂👍🏼
Me too! It was specifically because of this ad that I wanted to play the game: i.imgur.com/MM2fXng.png
My mom got me a used copy at Bookman's in Flagstaff, AZ in 1990. and the rest is history. I agree the music is top notch! Bloody Tears is immortal.
This whole open world RPG thing became one of the most influencial trends in the gaming industry period, and yet Simon's Quest doesn't get enough credit for being one of the origins
Best Castlevania.
Agreed . Symphony gets hella love, for good reason, but its format was Simon's Quest
I don't care about all the negativity against this game, it was and still is awesome.... if it wasn't for the masterpiece castlevania 4, Simon's quest would be the best one made
Huh, I had thought River City Ransom was the real king of that (apart from MUDs of course) but checked and nope, Castlevania 2 was out about a year earlier.
I guess because it was not everyone's cup of tea, especially at the time, but once you could get through that, boy, it's one of the best games ever made.
This made my day. My childhood friend and I would play this for hours on hours. Sadly my friend is no longer with us. Great memories. One of the best Nintendo games
so sorry for your loss.
My condolences
AWW THAT IS SAD😒
As a 40 year old man who remembers getting his 2nd Nintendo Power with this game on the cover and playing this game 30 years ago,, but currently laid up in bed with terrible back pain you have brought a rare smile to my face and brought me to tears of joy. Thank you for the nostalgia!
Good thing you had Nintendo Power, because I doubt anyone would have guessed to equip a bone or whatever and then kneel down at a certain place until a tornado picks you up.
@@customsongmaker that damn tornado 🤦♂
Wow I've never imagined that The Silence of Daylight would sound so good on acoustic guitars, I mean, it's like it was meant to be played in it!
You guys have inspired my 10yr son to learn this on his cello. We played all the Castlevanias. His mind was blown by this performance! 🙏🤘
IM 10 AND LOVE THE SONGS
I basically listen to this once a day. No regrets so far
Have you heard Mega Man 6 Flame Man?
The silence of daylight, bloody tears and within these castle walls are some of the greatest video game music themes ever composed hands down. It’s no contest.
the silence of the daylight will always be one of my fave tracks from this game. since i was a child ive always loved it.
I remember the first time hearing The Silence of Daylight. Till this day that track slays. Something about the progression just lends itself to metal tones. I'd love to see a high quality metal cover if anyone knows of one.
I cannot stop listening to this. I hear it all the time. Everything seems so important when listening to it. I listen to other things and wish it was this.
Obviously brilliant performance, but I wanted to compliment you on your combination of steel and nylon strung guitars. A wonderful contrast of tonalities that not enough musicians exploit!
This is fantastic! Castlevania 2 the most epic town theme of all time!
I would love to see a Wild Arms medley from you guys someday.
Omfg yes! From the original on the PS1. The redone music for the PS2 remake was 🗑
@@piousaugustus84 wow, that brings back the memories
I can NOT get enough of this. You guys kill it every time! This is incredible. I love Simons Quest, which are not words that are spoken very often. The nostalgia meter is pinging!
EVERY SINGLE TIME.
They are the best acoustic players on youtube
Maybe you'll like this, only found this a year or 2 ago, it's called Vomitron and have 2 albums of Nintendo metal! czcams.com/video/RwGyFuE-XW0/video.html
I'm with you. Loved Simon's Quest. Sure, in retrospect, the translation was terrible, and pathfinding made no sense. But it gave us that amazing score, and the best Nintendo Power cover ever.
@@angryscholar8450 Love Simon's Quest, they tried to give you a world. Multiple endings, day night cycle, it was ambitious as hell. my only complaint about the entire game is the last boss is WAAAAAAY too easy.
This game used to scare the crap out of me every time I played it, but I was hooked. I couldn't stop playing it even though I didn't want to and was terrified. Must have been that curse they mention. What a horrible night!
Your rendition of The Silence of Daylight is amazing. I wish it was longer.
Great music from a vastly underrated game! "Bloody Tears" was amazing!
The music from this game is some of the best in the series, however the gameplay is probably the worst.
This soundtrack for this game is what got me into video games back in the day. I had zero interest in Atari, Sega Master System and Nintendo Entertainment System. All of my friends and relatives were into games, but my mother used to babysit my cousin and one day he brought of his NES and this game. I was in my bedroom and the melodies for this game kept distracting me and I came out and asked him what he was playing. The rest is history, and this series has always held a special place in my heart.
This is THE BEST soundtrack of the three main Castlevania for me... AMAZING WORK!!!
Epítome of NES music also with Megaman II. And the first metroidvania game
The dude the left's fingerpicking is amazing 👏
I've watched this so many times. Castlevania 2 is without a doubt my favorite soundtrack in the entire series. It's a short track list, but every single song is a banger.
Castlevania on classical guitar is always the best thing ever.
Please get this on spotify ASAP! Amazing just like I and III
I reckon I’ve watched this video 20 times.
I smile every time. The memories of sitting in the floor playing this game mixed with the impressive talent of these 2 guys. It’s a peanut butter cup of happiness
This is a defining game in my childhood, largely due to the music. This is an absolutely breathtaking time-traveling experience to listen to. Bravo
Simon's Quest has a highly underrated soundtrack. Thanks for the medley!
Awe yeah. The Silence of Daylight. One of my favorites. So many memories come back hearing this. 👍👍👍
Oh boy oh boy!
Do we get a face reveal yet?
Man, I used to watch your videos years ago.... good old zombie videos. I’ll have to see what you’ve got cooking on your channel these days.
This game had such amazing music for it's time.
"Dwelling of Doom" makes the hair stand up, great job!! One of my favorite games on NES and it was as brutal as it' is awesome!
When you played the speech bubble.....I was dead. What a perfect homage. You fellas are absolute legends!
You brought a "bloody" tear to my eye!
Silence of Daylight: Best Castlevania song ever written.
These arrangements are so spot on. It sounds like these songs were written for two guitars as opposed to a basic 4-voice synthesizer.
Dude! The dialogue thing and then "loading" back in after that was ingenious. Oh and the guitar playing was good too!
Simply breathtaking!
Heureux de savoir que Monsieur Plouf est au même endroit que ses fans.
@@TomMendy Je les suis depuis 2011, c'est les meilleurs
I mean it’s awesome but I wouldn’t see it taking anyone’s breath away.
What he said.
The use of harmonics for Bloody Tears is just mindblowing.
Last boss is so catchy, I can't kill him, I'm doing a salsa class with him and he's got such a groove.
oh damn. you did the castlevania medley a billion years ago and it was my music everyday commuting to work. now you just updated my playlist. AMAZING
Never clicked on anything so fast in my life. I've wondered for years how you two would do Bloody Tears!!
Steve's bit of percussion gives BT that drive it needs; this totally slaps.
arrangement is spectacular as always :33
Steve has a wicked version of Bloody Tears on his channel. You've probably heard it but if not: czcams.com/video/Ade0ZumI1HE/video.html
First Castlevania game I was exposed to when it first came out in '88. I had a friend in school that could beat it in less than 2 hours from start to finish. It was one of his favorite games to play.
If these guys were playable characters in the game, they would be unstoppable! Truly stunning!
Marvelous and magnificent!
I would like to congratulate you on a job well done!
Oh! Critical hit right in the nostalgia. Gave me chills.
Words cannot express how much I appreciate everything about this...
just.. thank you 😭🙏👏👏👏
Simon's Quest has some of the best music in the Castlevania trilogy. I played it when it was new and it's still one of my favorite games in the series. In spite of it's many flaws I still love it's atmosphere. One of the most atmospheric games in the series besides Castlevania 64.
I've been playing classical guitar AND Nintendo for over 30 yrs,,,, this is one of the coolest things i've ever seen ,,,, beautious.....
This was freakin awesome!! Oh man, the transition from day to night just pushed it over the top! Fantastic arangment and flawless executed. Thank you SGB for bring my childhood to life through this beautiful art form!
Omg you guys killed it.. this is why I subbed to this channel
Keep up the amazing work.
Say what you want about the game itself but Simon's Quest had the best music of all Castlevanias IMO. Well done guys. Brings me right back to the first day I rented my NES and played in the dining room on a 15 inch TV.
Amazing sound you guys!! Incredible!
Ohhhhh snap! Hopefully we here a rendition of “Within These Castle Walls” very underrated tune from CV2
did you forget to watch the video before posting this?
@@quiltface83 lol 😂 no I posted it before the premiere
Well would you look at all that egg on your face
@@quiltface83 hahaha ok 👌
Looks delicious
This game used to terrify me when I was a kid watching my older brother play. Even the day time theme was haunting. You were safe walking through town but you knew what was coming when night fell. One of the OG survival horror games.
Okay so I just listened to this again for about the thousandth time, but the FIRST time through quality headphones. Wow! Best thing I've ever heard through these Bose Soundsport earbuds! Absolutely incredible guys!
I've never even listened to the castlevania 2 soundtrack, I just wanna say I'm stunningly impressed by this technique and skill
Just hearing you for the first time ever, and I feel cheated for not finding out about you earlier! 10/10 here from this old-school gamer/guitarist!
You turn 8 bit music into real instruments, and I actually like to do the reverse lol. Can't wait to see what you do next!
🤘🤖😁👍
Super guitar bros are sick, sam has a solo page as well on youtube called sam griffin guitar as well where he covers a fuck ton of game tracks solo guitar, its wild
I love this. These songs have been in my head for over 35 years.... a MASTERPIECE of a sound track.
I love how you can see how much they've improved since the first Castlevania medley. This is dope.
If i was a game maker , i would hire these two
I thought the same thing about these guys and Jonas Lefvert. Both have great game covers
1:34 Okay, that was a good laugh, thanks for that.
Wow! Just wow!
just fabulous
I’ve been looking forward to this ever since you sent that teaser picture in Discord!
Is this where you got the cloak idea from :D
..maybe

Somewhere out there an angry nerd is having a PTSD episode
Probably several, not just one in particular.
Outstanding
Amazing!
A little different vibe than Black Dahlia’s “What a horrible night to have a curse”
🤘
1:35 The best text box cover I've ever heard, bar none.
So great
Amazing! Just amazing!!
This is perfect!
Oh man, I can't wait for this one!

Never played a Castlevania game, but I have countlessly listened to this incredible cover.. Well done, even without nostalgia.
This is fantastic!
Simply the best!
Yes yes and yes it's been so long time since i expected this one
So fricking amazing...
