Gabriel's speech to Lucifer about humans, the tone and the inflection when he says "Humans are innocent and beautiful!" shows he believes that. He's the baby of the archangels, but in that moment, he sounds the most mature out of all of them. He wants to do good by humanity, maybe, arguably, out of loyalty and love to Chuck since humans were his creations, but he also spent the most time out of all other archangels living among humans. He didn't watch from afar, removed. He was among his father's creations, and saw everything from the point of view of an angel, and yet still loves them. I often forget he's the baby of the archangels until that line. There's just such a subtle, but loud power to it in his delivery. He truly believes it. ;~;
100% agreed. The other archangels usually appear more mature because of their ancient, almost eldtrich manners and attitudes, but Gabriel was spot on in that moment. He didn't care for Heaven or Hell, he fought for his father's creations whom he lived among and understood the most - it was only until Castiel met Sam and Dean that another angel understood and appreciated humans the way Gabriel did. Raphael, Lucifer and even Michael (the first one, not the apocalypse-world one) only saw humans and the world from their ancient, high-and-mighty angel POVs and were far too caught up in their supposed fated war to actually understand the consequences of their conflict on their father's world; Gabriel *did.* For a character mostly remembered as the reality-warping trickster, Gabriel definitely seemed to uphold his role as God's messenger given how he solidly told everything - whether Sam's refusal to let go of Dean or Lucifer making excuses for his crimes - *exactly* as it was.

Also, notice how he's the baby of the archangels in how, when he died both times, he grabbed their arm, almost as though he's trying to use them for support, like he still needs them to be his big brothers and keep him safe Ever notice, also, that whenever he "died" (when he was still posing as the Trickster too) he always looked so hurt and betrayed and surprised like he didn't expect someone to actually try to kill him? *Ow*
The fact that Gabriel has been in so few episodes but leaves such an impact says so much - a great character brought to full potential by a great actor.
I'm a little bit disappointed in the writers for killing off Gabriel again, it almost seemed to make the whole arc of building his character...pointless. I love Gabriel, fantastic character so underused and they do this. I can only hope that Gabriel comes back in some way, that they won't use this is a cheap cop out just to have given the fans what they wanted in seeing Gabe again. Perhaps they use it as an excuse to go back to the Empty, another underused chance for a plotline. I am loving this season, don't get me wrong, I'm just seeing a lot of lost potential.
@@csab8642 That's actually a really interesting idea, especially with how season 14 ended. If somehow Gabriel managed to awaken and bring back all the angels in the Empty, not only Balthalazar and Gadreel, but also Raphael who is also an archangel, along with Zachariah, Uriel, Samandriel, and Bartholomew along with Metatron and a whole lot more. That could potentially create some interesting plot points in the final season, especially with Raphael and Gabriel since they are both archangels. I can just see the 2 of them confronting Chuck with an army of all the raised angels behind them. That would be awesome.
@@csab8642 That's very true, because some of them will side with Chuck regardless, however that could lead to an epic showdown between the angels as a way to end the series. Since we know next season is going to be the end of the series, that would be a great way to end it. As far as Sam and Dean are involved, I think there is only two ways that could go. One, they have a massive showdown between Chuck, the angels, any remaining hunters, and the Winchesters, the angels and Winchesters are victorious and Heaven is brought back to it's full glory. The episode ends with Sam and Dean at the bunker, Sam on his laptop and Dean on the phone with Castiel. Dean hangs up and gives Sam a quick summary of what Cas has told him was going on in heaven, there's a brief pause and then Sam says "So get this" and the last shot is of the Impala driving away as they head to another case. The second, would be that somehow during the final showdown Sam and Dean are killed, that may even be what kicks it off, Chuck himself kills them. Then after the angels who had sided with the Winchesters win the battle, the scene changes to Sam and Dean's funeral and their bodies being burned, then they just a show a white room with nothing in it, and Billie is standing in the middle and tells them "It's about time" and Sam and Dean just kind of give each other a little half smirk and follow BIllie when there is just a flash of bright white light and they are gone and in Heaven. I say that the angels who sided with the Winchesters would be victorious because I really don't think the fandom would be happy if, after 15 seasons, evil did actually win out in the end. It would sort of make the entire series pointless and fans would probably riot.

Then have the Winchesters going back to doing what they do best while driving away in the Impala to a new case while Carry on My Wayward Son, and a slideshow of the last 15 years, plays.
Even though I know Gabriel would know Lucifer better than anyone else except Michael and God, I was surprised how spot on he was with how Lucifer lives to be (worshiped or feared or both) That is exactly what Lucifer did when he became king of heaven, demanded they kneel to the King, and respect/worship him, and then he threatened them when they made him mad.
Castiel, my sweet angel, I love you but Gabriel has a special place in my heart and I mourn with you for his loss of life. Gabriel is the sweet trickster Angel who stole my heart from the fist time he messed with the boys. I want my Gabriel back.
It does seem a bit of a waste. He comes back for half a season, after enduring so much torture from Asmodeus, only to get his revenge on Loki and then get beaten down by Michael before the season finale. Either his death has to mean something, help the Winchesters in some way, or it's another trick. Whether, as in the theory video, the Gabriel that goes up against Michael is another copy, or he comes back... It remains to be seen. But, it's a waste of a brilliant character.
There is no way I'm gonna believe he's really dead. He's too clever to be killed like that. He's still around and sneaked back behind his brothers. He was going to buy time, but he had a safety line. I mean, we're talking about Gabriel.

Not completely. It's only because of Gabriel that they saved Jack and Mary and brought back other-universe Bobby, Charlie and the other human fighters. Gabriel is God's messenger, but his own messages - that we humans are flawed but we can and do try to be better than the devils that lie in and around us, and to not use past tragedies to excuse crimes and atrocities - will never be forgotten.
Gabriel will always be one of my favourite characters. Richard played him brilliantly and Sam was right “we need him”. He better not be really dead! Btw Beautiful edit! Fantastically done!

Michael belives that worship its his birthright , Lúcifer just feels betrayed, in this story Michael its actually the crapiest being in existance, lucifer tried to reedem itself but no one Gave him a chance, Gabriel actually believed in mankind and was willing to fight for it, for us. Gabriel was such an amazing, funny, and completely relatable character. He didn’t deserve to die. He just wanted his brothers to stop fighting and isn’t that what every family wants? To belong and everything to be okay? Gabriel will always be my favorite archangel, and my second favorite angel. He chose humanity when the rest of them chose their pride. The little brother was the most human. I love Gabriel and always will, I don’t believe he’s really dead. But I could be just in denial. He didn’t deserve to die.
Beautifully done tribute video. I'm just hoping he'll make an appearance, coming back just in time to help save the day! He's such a fan favorite, I don't get why they'd kill him off completely. I know Richard is directing the show pretty often, so maybe that's his preference.
i find it interesting that Gabrial the weakest out of the main five brothers "Arch Angels" was the most influential and loved humanity more than everything. I just find it interesting
Wow it’s truly Biblical. Gabriel was ultimately the prodigal son. He remained loyal even though he left the fold and eventually he returned to his family after a long absence and in the end Gabe did the right thing.
It’s no fair!!! He was brought back and then he was killed again? COME ON!!! I’m happy he didn’t run anymore though and he finally stood up to Michael instead of running like he always did. He died a hero’s death and one I will never forget (even though his last “death” was something I still will never forget). This is why he’s my favourite character im so proud of him (Who cares if it’s a show? I Love him so much!!!!)
Ok I only watched part of series 10 + a bit of series 11 and eventually gave up cause it was a bit much to juggle with the school work i had. But DAMN from the clips I've watched on youtube, Gabriel is a great character. and the chemistry he has with sam... This was a beautiful edit and I'm super disappointedd in learning that his character is most likely dead :/
Aurora this same channel, she also made 2 videos about Gabriel and how there's a possibility he isn't dead so you should definitely check it out but it has spoilers for season 13 so 😅 either way, he's the trickster, I say he can't die that easily. This is hands down the best Gabriel tribute video I've ever seen. I love him with all my heart. Damn, I came back to watching this show after five years of absence, because he was back. And they took him away, again, leaving a hole in my chest. Your video won't fix this hole. But it definitely made it less painful.. through being painful to watch. What I especially like is that you made it angsty and tragic and serious. Caught the essence of Gabriel, not the Trickster. Thank you.
I honestly love the reverse reactions when Lucifer 'killed' Gabriel and when Apocalypse World Michel kills him. Both kill their younger brother without hesitation,, and yet, even though Lucifer let's him just drop, he is genuinely heartbroken at his act, While AW Micheal gently sets him down, but isn't fazed at all... Just the little things like that made the scenes for me.

How can they resurrect him though, I thought only God would be able to do that for beings that primordial or at least that it would take longer than the amount of time they have if they actually could. Doesn't mean no one else over there would try to do it, maybe the other Gabriel or even God helped him out. Lucifer knows now that the amount of grace correlates to how long the rift is open for, they don't need it open for more than a minute so I don't think they ie. Michael would probably make Lucifer do it, would need very much grace at all.

ive been dead inside since the season 12 finale but i was resurrected when gabe came back and ive been dead on the inside again since Thursday

Not completely. It's only because of Gabriel that they saved Jack and Mary and brought back other-universe Bobby, Charlie and the other human fighters. Gabriel is God's messenger, but his own messages - that we humans are flawed but we can and do try to be better than the devils that lie in and around us, and to not use past tragedies to excuse crimes and atrocities - will never be forgotten.

Michael belives that worship its his birthright , Lúcifer just feels betrayed, in this story Michael its actually the crapiest being in existance, lucifer tried to reedem itself but no one Gave him a chance, Gabriel actually believed in mankind and was willing to fight for it, for us. Even though he was weaker than his brothers he is the true hero.

Gabriel was such an amazing, funny, and completely relatable character. He didn’t deserve to die. He just wanted his brothers to stop fighting and isn’t that what every family wants? To belong and everything to be okay? Gabriel will always be my favorite archangel, and my second favorite angel. He chose humanity when the rest of them chose their pride. The little brother was the most human. I love Gabriel and always will, I don’t believe he’s really dead. But I could be just in denial. He didn’t deserve to die.

Wow it’s truly Biblical. Gabriel was ultimately the prodigal son. He remained loyal even though he left the fold and eventually he returned to his family after a long absence and in the end Gabe did the right thing.

I’m happy he didn’t run anymore though and he finally stood up to Michael instead of running like he always did. He died a hero’s death and one I will never forget (even though his last “death” was something I still will never forget). This is why he’s my favourite character im so proud of him (Who cares if it’s a show? I Love him so much!!!!)

This was a beautiful edit and I'm super disappointedd in learning that his character is most likely dead :/

This is hands down the best Gabriel tribute video I've ever seen. I love him with all my heart. Damn, I came back to watching this show after five years of absence, because he was back. And they took him away, again, leaving a hole in my chest.
Your video won't fix this hole. But it definitely made it less painful.. through being painful to watch. What I especially like is that you made it angsty and tragic and serious. Caught the essence of Gabriel, not the Trickster. Thank you.
I honestly love the reverse reactions when Lucifer 'killed' Gabriel and when Apocalypse World Michel kills him. Both kill their younger brother without hesitation,, and yet, even though Lucifer let's him just drop, he is genuinely heartbroken at his act, While AW Micheal gently sets him down, but isn't fazed at all... Just the little things like that made the scenes for me.

How can they resurrect him though, I thought only God would be able to do that for beings that primordial or at least that it would take longer than the amount of time they have if they actually could. Doesn't mean no one else over there would try to do it, maybe the other Gabriel or even God helped him out. Lucifer knows now that the amount of grace correlates to how long the rift is open for, they don't need it open for more than a minute so I don't think they ie. Michael would probably make Lucifer do it, would need very much grace at all.
