I appreciate the skills on the wheel, but why didn't this plate start with a hump or slump mold? so much effort for so little result. BTW, this is the ONLY criticism I have for Ondo Studio. I've found so much inspiration here!

Did not understand what making a "plate" meant... that it wouldn't be a fully functional plate but more of a sculptural object!
Very nice - and I guess you "could" eat off it if you wanted to!
Did you create it from porcelain?

It could be a vegetable plate with a little bowl filled with some sort of dip placed in the hole...

There are, currently, some restaurants that will plate single items upon dishes like this dish and a few others made by Ondo Studios. Interesting take-off on the standard serving dish. I've made dishes that have edges and 'symmetry'' like this and they've always been re wedged later for another attempt at a plate .... maybe??
