    Beautifully built Swingtime, Adrian. So wonderful to see your clock in motion. It is always a pleasure to watch your wonderfully descriptive and informative videos. Thanks for doing the Swingtime plan so proud. Aloha. Clayton

    Very cool Adrian! I've still only made the Simplicity, but I want to finish my Solaris I started a while ago.

    1:35 was that a little time warp ? Or a glitch in time to save nine ?

    Nice job Adrian.
    Can the pendulum be put at the back instead of in front of the clock face?

      Erniewood - I guess it would be theoretically possible with a redesign. But personally I like it in front as it add “drama” to the movement.

    Sorry, one more question: what drives the hour hand? I don't see a cannon pinion, intermediate or hour wheel.

    • @ShedBuiltStuff
      @ShedBuiltStuff  Před 6 lety

      jc8952 - height = 640mm from table top to top of pendulum. Cut from a single piece of 1/2” ply. Solid timber would look better but I was too lazy to do that.
      Hour hand - you can see a flower shaped piece of wood. It’s called a daisy and has 12 petals. There is a three pointed thingee glued to the hour hand. The minute hand has a cam on its shaft that fits inside a hole in the hour hand and the three pointed thingee. As the minute hand turns it moves the three pointed thingee that moves over the outside of the daisy to move the hour hand.
      Yes - I don’t understand it either but it works and does away with the need for those two wheels we normally see driving the hour hand.

    This is beautiful, I have been looking for a project like this something I could share with my granddaughter, who is growing fast but has very similar interests as I do. Unfortunately I can only bank transfer to fund the price of the plans, is that something I could do please ??

    I have to visit Clayton's website more often. I hadn't seen this one. Nice job Adrian. How tall is it and did you make the pendulum out of one piece of wood?

    Adrian , how did you get that nice golden color on the pendulum ?

    • @ShedBuiltStuff
      @ShedBuiltStuff  Před 4 lety

      donie bredin - the pendulum is made from ply that I “painted” with golden shellac.
