Since the film had a low budget and the animators actualy had to LEARN from the begging of production it ecplains why the film looks...slightly unfinished

We actually watched this movie in my college writing class. No, I’m not kidding. This movie honestly has one of the best screenplay I have ever seen. It’s also genuinely great satire.

I gotta say, even though the animation clearly hasn't aged well, the storyline and characters of this movie are done brilliantly. This is purely a Pixar-level movie.

I don't understand why that joke makes me laugh as much as it does.
Also after the bunny is done with the song the wolf mentions how nice the lyrics were despite the coreography being terrible which I think is reference to how the movie was great but the animation kinda sucked.
Honestly this movie was a huge part of my childhood and I’d still watch it today.
I honestly feel like the whole "witnessing the story through the prospective of different characters" style of storytelling is extremely underated.

This is easily one of the best written and performed animated movies of all time. It's easily up there with the likes of Shrek in terms of humor and characters.
It's amazing how nostalgia can mentally improve the animation quality in memories.

Even tough disney is part of my childhood. This movie is one of the biggest part of my childhood. The most of my favorite moment in this movie is when the goat start singing and also the word that squierl said when he pick up a candle

Oh man my CHILDHOOD RIGHT THERE!! I remember watching this film way to many times and thining that the animation was so smooth (well looking back at it now...it's not very smooth but..) it's still one of my favourite movies of all time! I love the characters/ the plot and the idea to take a fairytale and turn it into a crime scene. It's just entertaining in a way! (sorry for my english btw)

Hoodwinked was a HUGE part of my childhood.
Knives out was basically the live Action Hoodwinked remake.
There’s no way Hoodwinked 2 would be the worst thing you’ve watched for this channel. After all, you’ve endured 6 Asylum films, the Amazing Bulk, and Pacific Rim Uprising.

Hoodwinked was one of those movies I watched often as a kid as well, and the fact that it's a really good movie that just has bad animation is a hill I will die on always
I'll die on the hill that the movie still looks good despite its poor animation. It's art direction and sense of color lets it still stand up somewhat well, in my opinion, far better than its sequel, in any case.
I remember this as being pretty good and it still seems to hold up in terms of early 2000s kids comedy.

No one who watched this move forgets it. It's a masterpiece for me and even the animation is really fine enough for me. It's not perfect, but the style kinda fits the movie, and it's story.

I never forgot this, especially the (in my opinion) cool sequel.
Love this film, very clever interwoven storylines , which requires a rewatch to spot things in the background. Excellent original score (Ben Folds etc) and the whole soundscape and audio quality in general sounds very polished. There is a directors commentry on the DVD which I have watched all the way though also. Thankyou for reviewing it, I am sure this cult film will get more fans as a result. Then maybe fewer people will give me a blank stare when I do Wolf quotes at them.
I saw hoodwinked when I was 6-8 years old and seem to remember it with toy story 4 level animation. Holy crap this film’s animation aged like milk.
