But not only that, besides being a brilliant musician and an unmatched vocalist, he was a great human being. Decent, kind, caring loving and loyal. Very generous. And the most beloved frontman of a rock group. Still is.

Awhile ago, I had nicknamed Freddie
"A Masterpiece In Human Form" because he is like a painting in a museum that you cannot stop looking at, appreciating each color, each brushstroke as you take it all in & then realize it is something almost indescribable, people have to see it themselves to understand its beauty, it's uniqueness. He mesmerizes us as we listen to his voice, so unique, so precious, sung so passionately.
We mourn his loss every day of our lives so when we see men & women of yr generation astounded by how unique Freddie's voice is & hear his passionate singing, it makes our sadness a little less. The fact that new generations like you are so incredulous that his voice & delivery are so unique is such a wonderful thing for we who have been following him since the 1970s. Seeing u & others literally entranced while listening to his amazing vocal range & recognizing his passion as he sings & performs reassures us that his legacy will likely never be forgotten. It has been 30 yrs & each decade brings new surges in Queen record sales. So Thank you for trusting us years ago getting u started loving these talented men of Queen. Brian May is a musical genius on that guitar, having built the Red Special as a teen with his Dad so no other guitar sounds like his. His mastery of it is truly mindboggling. Do you know he has his Doctorate & is a Dr. Of Astrophysics? Yup, Dr. Brian May found the time to fit that into his life too. He also performed for the Queen of England on the roof, alone, (a few instruments backing him of course)on top of Windsor Castle years ago at her request & awarded him one of the highest Honors for a citizen, a C.B.E. Medal of Honor for his contribution of music to ENGLAND & the world. Brian has been posting little Micro Concerts online almost every evening since the Corona Virus has kept us quarantined in our homes, just to give us devoted fans something to look forward to because he can't perform in outside groups now. How generous is that! And Roger Taylor is in my not-so-humble opinion the most passionate drummer I've ever come across, unequivocally the best. He also has a wonderful singing voice as I'm sure u have realised by now. John never appears, he retired & has no intention of ever appearing with Queen again. He suffered the loss of his best friend when Freddie passed & stated "there is NO QUEEN WITHOUT FREDDIE". He apparently suffered severe depression when Freddie died, he was his mentor & encouraged John to write songs which he had never had the confidence to do. As it turned out, John wrote 4 of the Queen MEGA HITS!!
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST WAS THE ONLY QUEEN SONG THAT EVER CHARTED #1 IN AMERICA !!
    So, again....
A MASTERPIECE IN HUMAN FORM is my description of the unforgettable legend, Freddie Mercury....do you agree?

I read that this was a completely different vocal take than what appeared in the UK stage musical titled "Time". So the track isn't stripped down. It is a completely different version. Dave Clark thought that he had lost the master tape and didn't find it until late last year. He didn't want to drop this song at the height of "Bohemian Rhapsody" box office success so he waited until now to release what in many ways really is a new Freddie Mercury song. We are truly blessed.

From the UK 🇬🇧. Hi L, thanks for this. At the moment I’m struggling. Born with Sickle Cell Anaemia and been told I might not see the end of the year. I’m 44 years old. Whilst feeling so ill, I’m literally planing my funeral because I have no family I’m doing it myself with the help of my friends. This song couldn’t have spoken to me more. The line that says we’ve got to put our trust in each other hit me hard. I’m putting my trust in the various medical teams and my amazing GP, my friends who have become my family, myself and in God. I’m a Christian; don’t go to any church so my relationship with God is very personal. Thanks for this. All my life music has played a huge part in helping me cope with my health, relationships etc but since March I’ve really relied on Freddie and Queen’s catalogue of music to help me deal. As I listened to this for the first time with you I’m in floods of tears but I’m uplifted by this song not just because of the lyrics but because of Freddie. It’s a weird dichotomy I know but that’s Freddie.

Full Rolling Stone article about the late release of this song.
Dave Clark remembers how he felt when he heard Freddie Mercury sing his song, “Time Waits for No One,” for the first time. “It gave me goosebumps,” he tells Rolling Stone. “I thought, ‘This is magic.'”
The song was originally part of Time, a musical that was spearheaded by Clark, best known as the former leader and drummer of the Dave Clark Five. When Mercury’s recording of “Time,” which Clark cowrote with John Christie, came out on the soundtrack for the musical, it was schmaltzy and heavily produced with thick layers of backing vocals and heavy drums. It was also a big hit, making it to Number 32 on the U.K. chart. Now Clark has stripped the song down to the way he originally heard it for a special release out Thursday.
The new version features only Mercury’s voice and piano played by Mike Moran, who went on to accompany the Queen singer on his Barcelona solo album. Mercury’s voice starts smooth and scrunches and contorts into rougher sounds as he sings lines like, “We’ve got to build this world together or we might have no future at all, because time waits for nobody.” The stripped-back arrangement shines a spotlight on his vocal acrobatics in a way that was lost in the original, and it’s Mercury’s already well-recognized talent that Clark hopes people hear in the new recording.
“Freddie asked me, ‘How do you want me to perform this?'” Clark recalls. “I said, ‘As a cross between Edith Piaf, Jennifer Holliday and Shirley Bassey.’ He said, ‘Well, dear. I have all the dresses. I can do it perfectly.'”
Clark first met Mercury in 1976 when Queen played a powerhouse set at London’s Hyde Park. “I stood on the wings of the stage, and I was taken aback because this guy came out in a black leotard, and I thought, ‘Wow, what’s this? Liza Minelli?'” Clark recalls. “And then he opened his mouth and sang. It was unbelievable. What a performer. And the show went down amazingly.” The show ran long and the band wasn’t allowed to play an encore - London police threatened to arrest Mercury if he tried to get back onstage - so Clark accompanied them to restaurant Mr. Chow and they hit it off. It helped, too, that Mercury was a big fan of the Dave Clark Five, whose “Glad All Over” toppled the Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand” for the Number One spot in the U.K. in 1964.
Several years later, when Clark was working on Time, he reached out to Mercury through the singer’s girlfriend who gave him a phone number in Munich. Clark had already lined up a stunning cast for the production, including Sir Laurence Olivier, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick and Cliff Richard, and Mercury at first told him, “You’ve come a bit late there, haven’t you?” Nevertheless, Clark insisted that he fly over, play Mercury a tape of the song and see if he liked it. Fortuitously, Mercury did and they booked time in Abbey Road Studios in December 1985.
“Everyone said to me that Freddie would be a nightmare to work with because he was so meticulous,” Clark recalls. “I’m the same way. I want things to be right. If I didn’t like something, I’d say it and vice-versa with Freddie.” The session lasted from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., with Mercury bringing in his personal chef, who cooked for everybody, “even the tape operators,” as they all shared champagne and vodka. Mercury hoped to record the song with Queen, but Clark convinced him to use his musicians. “I said, ‘If it doesn’t work, I’ll pay for the time and we’ll bring your boys in.’ And it really did work beautifully.” They ended up cutting both “Time,” and another song for the album, the similarly sentimental “In My Defence,” which was a posthumous hit for the singer in 1992.
There are, of course, more Freddie fans than ever who know how good he was thanks to the success of Bohemian Rhapsody. Clark is well aware of the movie’s popularity and says he’s waited to release this version so as not to seem like he’s cashing in on Queenmania. “We’ve been trying to do this for a decade or so,” he says. “I was finished with the film in the last spring of last year, and I heard they just finished the movie. The movie’s been off and on, no disrespect, for over a decade, and I decided it would be wrong to bring it out before the film or during it, so I waited.” He invited Queen manager Jim Beach to hear what he had been working on and surprised him with the new version of “Time,” and was happy the manager loved it.
They also filmed a video for the song at the time on the stage where the musical was produced. It was a rush job: The theatrical union gave them only three hours to shoot and little time to set up and break down before the doors opened. They transferred the footage from 35-millimeter film to video and crunched out a clip for Top of the Pops. For this release, Clark went back to the original films - shot on four cameras, with two angles never developed before - and cut a new video for this release.
“The nice thing about the film is it’s Freddie on his own without anybody else, and it shows the emotion of the song,” Clark says. “We all know he’s a great singer, but I don’t think he’s been seen on his own with just a piano like this. It makes you realize how good somebody is.”
    Yes, Freddie is truly missed.

It was a musical that Dave Clark made and Freddie did a few songs. The original song was found just recently so Dave had to have it come out. I will send the article that came out for this song. Its beautiful as no one can sing it like Freddie

When I saw this video 2 weeks back, I cried like a baby as I did when I heard he died in 1991. I almost feel like he's NOT GONE. An incredible VOCAL RANGE; an incredible TALENT; there is NO one from my generation of some of the gr8 groups, you simply are THE BEST~~LOVE YOU FREDDIE~~

He was so theatrical... putting his ALL into everything! You can just FEEL the passion he had for every note he sang! Such a tragic loss to this world; even today. His music, love and passion will live on FOREVER ♥️

Thank you once again for giving all of us Queen fans some joy. Still think the yellow jacket would look good on you too.

The day he died was one of those days when you remember where you were when you heard it.
Freddie, Elvis Presley and John Lennon were 3 that I remember.
Freddie's death had a bigger impact on me than the others.
    1991, 1978 and 1980 respectively.

Yes Freddie is greatly missed. I watched a documentary about him, here in England. His life story, his rise to fame with Queen and surprisingly, his love of opera. He was a great singer and performer, but also a lovely man. His voice seemed to touch the soul and even bring tears. He was a legend in his own life time. We miss him so much.

Freddie has a unique way of making you really feel something when he sings. Like he’s singing directly to you from his heart and soul... there aren’t many out there that can do that in the way he does...at least not for me. Agree with your reaction 100%... it was spot on!

This is absolutely the most beautiful song by Freddie! What a vocal range and vibrato! I’m so glad you saw this version and not the one from the musical! Bc this is bare bones Freddie! Unbelievable! I can’t tell you how many thousands of times I’ve listened to this song! This song was lost and it took Dave Clark years to find it. Thank goodness he did. Freddie is absolutely the best!
This was the original by Freddie without all the people that were in the musical. It was buried in the archives. Dave Clark finally found it. It was remastered and absolutely beautiful. There’s no one but Freddie that can do it justice! He’s the man! The best of the best forever! Thank you Freddie for your beautiful music and voice!

I just discovered this channel, and dude... you have a new subscriber and fan! Freddie Mercury is not only the MOST amazing singer/performer/musician EVER (fight me! 😂) but he was also the MOST amazingly generous, loyal, vulnerable, and beautiful (inside and out) person and I've been in absolute LOVE with him since my teen years (glossing over how long that's been, k? 🤣). Anyway, I Just want to thank you for helping keep Freddie's legacy as alive and vibrant as he was when he was still with us. By the way, if you have not already watched the movie, or even if you have, do some research and find out the difference between what's true and what's Hollywood. I suggest everyone do that with this movie because they take a few liberties that are not very flattering to Freddie and I hate for people to see him in the wrong light. Ok... jumping off the soapbox now. 🤣

Dave Clarke said that it was all on tape and there was 96 tracks on there so it took him and his engineer 10 years to sift through to find it in the vaults. But he thought that this first version with Mike Moran on the piano was magical and he just had to find it. When he did he pieced all the footage from six cameras and got Mike to redo his piano accompaniment, he could have released it last year but he didn't want it overshadowed by the film "Bohemian Rhapsody" so he kept it until this year.
