  • after i finished doing a major job on this audi , all of a sudden there was no crank no start problem, i looked for relays in my car and found that the ones under the ECM are damaged by water, i replaced them and started the car right away

Awesome video, I spent some time looking for the parts.
The fuses needed are one of each: 4H0951253, 4H0951253A, 4H0951253C.
    The ECU cover: 8E1907613D
    Hope this helps!

Other than replacing the relay, how do we check or know if the relay is bad?
I have a 2006 Audi S4 Avant and it recently has been having a no start no crank issue.
This started after my radio failed to turn itself off after turning my car off and removed
the key. This of course drained the battery over night and the car completely died.
I replaced the battery and the car still won't start. Tomorrow I plan on checking fuses
and possibly looking into the relays you checked in this video but I'm not exactly good
with working on cars so I figured I'd ask how we test the relays before I spend money
on relays that are working just fine? Also, would this procedure be any different on my
2006 Audi S4 Avant or should it be almost the same? Thanks for your time!
I feel like I should also mention more of the symptoms so maybe someone else or
even you could help me diagnose it a little easier. Right now with the brand new battery
installed there's a few things not working that I feel SHOULD WORK with a new battery.
    -HORN
    -POWER WINDOWS
-Heads Up Display on dashboard. MMI is what I think that little screen is called?
    -Car won't start
I guess I'm confused why my cars horn and power windows won't work even with the
new battery and yet the head lights, dome lights, electric seats, and even the radio
work (despite staying on even after key is removed) but yet the horn and those other
things won't work? I feel like this should make it much easier to help me diagnose
    what's wrong with my vehicle.
THANKS FOR READING - Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    • @strictlyaudis7012
      @strictlyaudis7012  Před 3 lety +1

If you open the relay box and it looks clean , it’s not relays . Your next move is to look for the starter and see if it gets 12 volts , if it does but it won’t turn then it’s the starter but if it doesn’t get anything then you go back to the relays and fusses and battery , also look at the dash and see if you can spot the immobilizer light , it could be so many things and what works for one car won’t necessarily work for another

The other option is the tcm itself gets hot and prevents the car from starting. Or simply the car gets hot ( if yes ) not sure why . Could be the termostat needs to be replaced . no crank no start can be so many things : relays , starter, battery, wires, loose nuts or bolts , bad ecm or tcm , stuck water pump shaft or harmonic balance shaft or crank shaft , please look into all these things , I will make a vedio just for this problem so that you and others can benefit from it and wish you all the best

Luis Baez it’s called relay 395 , with audis and vw , each relay has a number , if you wanna buy it , just look for 395 relay , it could be ignition relay , but not sure , I’m just sharing what I found out . And thanks for watching. Do you have same problem with your car?
