Easy to understand, very clear for the car numpty like me. i have an issue wher my Q7 cylinder 6 on your vid injector keeps blowing out. would be clear out but bonnet in way. It pulled the bolt down clip out at the side with the star head on it diesel eveywhere, no bang just warning light and instant limp mode. this is the second time in just undr a year. 85k on the clock 61 plate. everyone keeps tellin me its a common problem. If it is what is the fix and why can't I find an answer to the problem. I learned more by watchng this vid than anything else but I'm still in the dark as to why it keeps happening on cylinder number 6. Can you or anybody out there help? I'm not a mechanic so keep it simple please.
I think that you must focus on the detail here. 1. Ream/ grind the injector hole 2. Fit a new Audi washer 3. Fit a new Audi stretch bolt 4. Tighten the bolt to the exact torque setting All of these details will be carried out by a suitably qualified garage & if so you shouldn’t have any more issues 🤞🤞

B7 3.0 tdi - 233 hp My cars having the issue where it will start up but on occasion it won’t. Or if it is idling the revs will drop and the power will cut out. Just now I was driving home and in 3rd gear at roughly 35/36 mph the glow plug lights started flashing and the power cut off. Now waiting for recovery, if they aren’t here in an hour I should be able to start up again and get back home. Would this be the same issue as diagnosed in this video? I have a feeling I need a new hpfp or maybe just need to change the belt
Having a somewhat similar issue with my 07 q7. Fault P1063 low fuel pressure. Seems like very low fuel rail pressure. Replaced fuel filter, was full of gunk. replaced fuel pressure regulator valve, cleaned fuel pressure sensor. Checked flow from low pressure pump, looks ok. Crank but no start, though it will start when I spray easy start into it. Was thinking it might be loss of fuel pressure through leaking injector, but the fact it starts with a spray of easy start has me confused. Any thoughts? Thanks, and great work!
They injectors won’t be commanded to open if the fuel pressure doesn’t reach 200 bar. So you really need a high pressure fuel gauge to see what the high pressure pump can do. This would be a good place to start anyway Barry 😉

An injector can leak in 2 place. 1 is up through the injector body and out the leak back pipe, 2 is into the cylinder through the nozzle. A leak off test will find the first but not the 2nd .
