The Famicom wasn't advertised as just a games console, it was advertised as a family computer hence the name and the keyboard and mouse addons, it was sometimes used in classrooms by teachers to teach children things in Japan in the 80s-90s, like how teachers use laptops or similar to teach kids things today, that's why those educational games exist, mainly for use in classrooms.

Mushroom is designed for a Famiclone system called the "VT01", which can only display either monochrome or shades of Red and Cyan. Mushroom is forced to run in standard NES mode, hence the goofy-ahh colors.

Not exactly. There was an official release of Formation Z on Famicom, but many official releases get illegally copied by software pirates and put on crappy-looking carts and sold in China. That's what happened here.

The game 'Bitha' is a sprite-swapped Famicom game called Pooyan. You play a pig that shoots arrows at wolves with balloons so that they won't come up the ladder and eat you.
Pooyan was one of my first games^^

Pretty much, Pac- Land is a game that doesn't actually end. Once you've got the boots and made it back to town, the game repeats itself, (not reset) and you just keep going through until you die. The cool thing though, this game actually implements day/night cycles. After you've been through a few times, the background darkens as if it turns night, and resets every 5th cycle.

I can explain the weird palette. There was a NES clone called VT01 which had those fucked up colours. VT02 was NES identical, with VT03 being 16 bit and all later models being 32 bit. The hacks were made by a company called Inventor who makes everything into a Ninja Turtle and messes up the music

Given how many games you have, you could have searched your collection for an older, 5-screw NES cart, as those are actually FAMICOM boards with 72-PIN adapters included in the NES cart (explaining the carts huge size, actually, though why the systems are different to begin with is odd.)
A simple google search would find a list of games who's older carts contain these converters!
Oh, and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, FIX THE ASPECT RATIO OF THE CONVERTER! IT'S GIVING ME SOUL CANCER!

If you're wondering, the first four games shown (Formation Z, King Kong 2, Pac-Land and Super Xevious) are actual licensed Famicom games. The reason some of them look rather shoddy is that most of these were made early in the Famicom's life, and it wasn't possible to make the most of the hardware at the time likely due to budget reasons.

I had the exact same issue trying to get my bootleg cartridge to run via a converter on my NES. The problem lies not with the connectors, but with the bootleg plastic shell. I managed to work the glue loose and seperate the halves. THEN the thing actually ran properly.

Pac land for the nes is not a bootleg as it is downloadable content on the Wii u and I played it and beat all 18 levels (it was HARD) but fun.
Oh yeah, Earth Defense Force is on the Switch Online's free SNES collection, I dunno why cause I never heard of it until I looked through the NES and SNES collections it had but it's there

Pac- Land is a real game licensed by Capcom, I'm not sure if this is a bootleg version, but Pac- Land is original. For instance, Pac- Land has its own stage in the Wii U version of Smash.
