The Chip and Dale bootleg is a reskin of Heavy Barrel. That's the name of the original game.
People get NES bootlegs exactly like they get PS2 bootlegs - at least in Russia, you can find them for sale in thrift stores, underground shops, variety stores, etc. It's just that famiclones and Mega Drive clones are still pretty popular in Russia (not for the lack of better choice, since PC gaming is quite popular here - more for nostalgic reasons, since we rarely had any official consoles in the 90s to begin with), so when stores order famiclones, they usually get a bunch of bootlegs as well. That's how chinese stuff gets here, hehe.
Hope to catch one of your Russian bootleg streams in the future, if you're inclined to do more of these. I can translate stuff!

Holy Crap...How many games did the Diablo 2 bootleg had the audacity to stole from. I can hear Golden Sun music, the sprites of the main character are clearly base on the Warrior of Final Fantasy and his battle sprite is Cless using Teleport from Tales of Phantasia. Not to mention the sprites from the monsters are all from Castlevania, mainly Aria of Sorrow.

I have finished the Aladdin one as a child. It's a near-perfect bootleg and actually fun to play. Got password system and ending as well. Back then I thought it was legit due to its high quality.
That Diablo bootleg was from a company called Shenzhen Nanjing. One of their first bootlegs was of Golden Sun, and they decided "you know what? Golden Sun fits Diablo. Let's make a custom Diablo using everything from Golden Sun because fuck it." There's actually a full playthrough of it floating around somewhere on CZcams.

The Knights in the Diablo bootleg title screen looks identical to one of the bosses in Castlevania Aria of Sorrow.
What fucking threw me for a loop was the fact that they used Cress's character sprite from Tales of Phantasia for the player character's in-battle sprite.

When it comes to those DDR bootlegs, i almost feel like the bootleggers are expecting you to emulate. That, or disassemble your NES/FDS controller and remove the little pivot part in the d-pad so all four buttons can be pressed at once.

Though a lot of them are being sold... and made in china, the NES ones seem to mostly be from that region.

In gen 1 I liked all three starters. In gen 2 I liked 2 of the starters. In gen 3 I liked only one starter. I've never liked a starter since. Gen 7 looks to be no exception .

In that "The Hacker" game, what's happening is that the screen is glitching out and shifting the position of the character and enemies, so it's basically forcing him to run into the enemies.
That's why it was so hard to play, Uncle Jorbel!
No, it's just that the sprites for jumping and walking aren't aligned correctly. NES hit detection uses an entire solid square, not pixels. Therefor there's a small invisible area of hitbox because the 'artists' made the sprite too small.
