Helena B, the way you worded that made me think that you were trying to make fun of them. Regardless, even if they aren’t able to speak English, the fact that there is representation of Latin figures in American media is extremely important. If, even if it is a small percentage, that there are people seeing themselves being represented, it shows that we can be taken seriously for our works, and not be mocked and stereotyped.

He was never an "oppressed minority", I've noticed people with Spanish names living in the US keep on trying to make 1 single demographic group out of many nationalities. Do you see many Norwegians in Fallon's show? Do you see many Japanese? Would you confuse a Taiwanese person with an Asian American? That whole "latino/hispanic" demographic group exists only in American heads. And I say it as someone from Colombia. This is my country man.

You basically have to raise the tip of your tongue towards the roof of your mouth barely touching it then blow out as you pronounce the R. Love how J Balvin is so proud of his Latin roots and is so down to earth. Great example for those other singers that think they are untouchable.

I would Love to see Daddy Yankee's interview. As a matter of fact any Reggaeton artists from Puerto Rico. They broke barriers...They made this music mainstream. Especially Daddy Yankee.

Very true, without “La Vieja escuela” we wouldn’t have a J Balvin, Maluma, and many more. But Colombian artists were the ones who changed the game with new sounds and songs that didn’t focused only on sex and anyone could sing along.
They also started doing collabs with all kinds of artists from different countries and this opened up even more Reggaeton to new audiences.
