They don’t eat it ... they take it to temples
🌔🌓🌔 Who Ever carved those pieces of wood is a true ARTIST. . Beautiful Work Ladies!
Hope grandmother's long life and have many buyers for their candies
These are used during Diwali festival 😍😍 love them!! Everyone wondering whether it can be consumed, Yes! you can. We use it during Diwali festival for decoration but consumed later when the 5-day pooja is done. Used to carry a piece in pocket to school. Or Take a bite go around to play with friends come and take a bite during break. It takes days to completely finish it. Small round shaped ones (
Beautiful wooden moulds. These sweets look like celebration pieces...
You guessed it right. See my direct comments.
Those candies are like an artefact...I wouldn't eat that but keep it... And yes, how can we not talk about the wooden moulds....
You do know that ants and bees and other bugs will come after those stud statues. I if eat them if i were you. It will go to the bugs, if you don't.
Fun fact: They aren't really meant to be eaten. Just part of a ritual.
@@bluueddyytrue1531 I guess the same ..
@@bluueddyytrue1531 but is it allowed to eat them?
If they would let it cool just a tad before pouring it in then they wouldn't have air bubbles forming. Also if they would wash the sides of the pot with water with a brush the candy would not crystallize and have a solid structure and not fall apart easy! It's pretty but they need to do that!
This is the comment I was looking for! Knew there had to be a trick. Thanks for sharing
I'm from thailand 🇹🇭 but i love food indian🇮🇳
No candy thermometer in sight, she just knows.
And no scale to ensure exact measurements or a cooling and warming tables. Legit just knows her stuff.
Just enough for all moulds
ROTFLMFAO WHAT WOULD ANYONE NEED A THERMOMETER ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS POUR IT INTO THE MOLDS AND WAIT FOR IT TO HARDEN ..
There is a way to determine what stage it's at by dropping a bit into water.
@@markwayne8405 it has to get to a specific temp to become hard candy..
This is my childhood. I love them so much. Whenever they give these in weddings, my grandma keeps them for me. 💜
Lov the wooden moulds
SAME ME
Maano chahe na maano but "old is gold" ❤❤ I love old people
Beautiful! Mommas do your thang! The whole process looks so easy but there is so much science to it. I actually like the the pink ones, so pretty but they are all beautiful.
Omg these are batashe from my childhood.. the color and sugar fearmongering commenters dont get our culture. Love!!!!
That's food colour ...
Where is batashe made?
It looks like it's not sugar.. but white jaggery. Is that true?
It's made of bura/khaand ?
@@skylark1848 It is sugar.
Haven’t seen one negative comment.
I can imagine using all types of organic fruit flavoring with this. Wonder of cane sugar works just as effectively
Your candy molds are amazing! Thank you for sharing with us Merry Christmas
Bless the hands who made the mould n bless grandma for making beautiful goodies out of it😍
This brought back memories of my mom and my grandmother making sugar candies in my grandma's kitchen when I was very young! 💞💖💗

They are just sweet, no real "flavor". Have had several times at Hindi weddings; I keep them in clear plastic boxes with silica packets to keep dry.

In South India, especially in parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu these are made for a festival called sankranthi or pongal , which is the festival of harvest. These candies usually used to be given to visiting guests during the festival.
Those women are very creative and talented! Where can I find those wooden molds?
Those are hand crafted and really hard to find but you can get it in Telangana or Andhra pradesh regions ,India
Need some in U.S. perhaps easier to make them... what type of wood are they??
Rajesh Panidapu how can I purchase some?
Bahut hi bahut acche bahut hi acche vichar hai bahut acchi kalakari
I love the wooden molds. I bet they make everything taste better.

Very cool! Thank you for sharing.
Very skilled Confectioners! They don't need a high tech kitchen and equipment for candy making. The Carvers who makes those mold are amazing Artisans.
So true. They are going by FEEL. They don't need an external machine like a thermometer etc to give them information :)
Fantastic JOB

Omg beautiful molds and gorgeous candy! Wonderful job ladies! Watching this makes me want some candy lol
I really enjoy watching videos like this. What a beautiful art of candy making. They don't even need to use a candy thermometer!
Если бы они дольше готовили эту карамель, как положено, то у них бы получилось на много красивее прозрачная и крепкая конфета
Wow that's amazing art both wood and candy.
