I really enjoy listening to you three discuss the issues in your own perspectives, to be honest i think it's really refreshing to watch you guys disagreeing but still listening to the other's opinion. As a listener, it's always so enjoyable to listen to differing opinions and seeing the different ideas and perspectives based on personal experiences and environments.
I wanna know more about beauty standards from Rey's perspective since he came from an industry around that topic, I just know he knows a lot about his clients insecurities esp women when it comes to beauty standards and how he helps them to deal with it. I hope indah invite him again in the future
the example posed on benefit based brainwashing is actually based on pragmatism, but in brainwashing/influencing there are many other factors than just solely on pragmatism
Rey either missed or misunderstood of Barbie Movie. There was an aspect of history, from the very beginning back when in America it was common that men ruled and decided anything and everything to recent time. The movie was about a showcase of generations' perspective involving genders and social movement. As a doll maker company Mattel simply followed the trend and market demand. Using today's perspective to judge what was considered proper back then is kind of unfair hence the Barbie figure change overtime.
Rey's mouth needs to be closer to the mic, like Indah's. I'm surprised Peter doesn't notice the sound difference 🤔 That aside I wonder why Indah gives 8 out of 10 rating to Barbie movie while she watches three times. Shouldn't the movie deserve 10 out of 10? 🤔

As someone who is from Padang I think Matriarchy from my experience it's not per say that women "rule" over the men, it's just that we value women more because basically your mother practically gave birth to you and raised you, so we respect women more than the men. But it's not like we stomp over the men, we still respect them as someone who can lead us, but not to the extent of making the women are lesser than man. And about women paying the dowry to the men it's not from Padang, but from a region in Sumatra Barat. And even though the women pay the dowry, the men's family have to "pay back" the dowry to the women in the form of maybe gold jewelry, something of the same value as the dowry. But that's from my understanding too, and I hope what I said make sense, so cmiiw.
