For me, there's only a single Achievement in the entire series, that i consider a pain enough to call it "difficult". And that's the "Get all Blue Ribbons in Clash in the Clouds"
After accidently quitting without saving twice, because i thought that it would autosave (Because why doesn't it?), i've lost all patience on that achievement.
Only one I haven’t got myself in the entire trilogy. First 2 arenas not so bad got them all the last 2 are abysmal
"I Chose The Impossible" was the first "hardest difficulty" trophy i did as a kid and it was really tough. But now it's quite easy for me and i kinda hate that they found this exploit. If you know what you're doing, it's only "hard" in the first few levels meaning you have to save a lot. I used a few small exploits, just not the big one at the end.

I really didn't find it that difficult As well with no exploits but the big daddy that you had to kill is what I struggled with
Save-scumming always works and the fact you have New Game+ in BioShock made it much easier. Getting all your plasmids and gear after intro? Difficulty just plummeted big time.
@@vksasdgaming9472 Exactly. I just tend to use a stealth base playstyle with the cross bow and natural camo. Kills everything 85% of the time except for a big daddy with 1 good headshot.
I did I Chose The Impossible trophy just by literally saving after every little progress. It took 2 days.
I did it on new game plus and didn’t kill any big daddy’s.

I was casually hanging around discord when I suddenly heard brass balls achievment.
Trust me, it's just as weird having to record the line for the video.
I unlocked the achievements in an order that said " a man chooses brass balls" it cracked me up

When it come to 2 and Infinite the hardest difficulty achievements definitely come to mind.
Perhaps you could make videos on those games as well, idk.
Also another idea that comes to mind, perhaps you could do guides, That’s a bioshock topic that isn’t widely covered on CZcams.
I got the "I chose the impossible" legit it was difficult but I refused to use exploits it's just no fun

It took me a LONG time but I have platinum for BioShock 1, 2 and infinite on the PS3. I have platinum for 1 and 2 on PS4 (still working on infinite). I went through the game itself on survivor mode without vita chambers the real way and it was difficult! Once I mastered the game, getting A Man Chooses for the PS4 was much easier. It does take patience, stealth, and strategy - but it can be done. I felt like I actually earned it after hearing about the little glitch. As for the DLC, on my PS3 - I’m only missing All Blue Ribbon Challenges for infinite (so gosh darn difficult! I gave up on that a LONG time ago..) and the challenge room trophy for a Worlds of Hurt in 15 minutes or less (I tried so many times I just couldn’t do it.. the closest I did was 20 minutes..). The other challenge room trophies are doable. The timed ones, just look up on CZcams and it shows you how to do it easily! Takes a few tries but you can do it too! I have 100% BS2 on both ps3 and PS4, the easiest of the games to get 100% complete. I’m missing a lot for infinite on PS4 because the replay value of that game isn’t there as much for me as the other two games. I’m missing most of the challenge room trophies on my PS4 - suffering through once was enough for me, but maybe one day I’ll go back and get them again so I have 99% on both my PS3 and PS4 (screw WoH in 15min... and Blue Ribbon for CITClouds) for BS1 and Infinite. I believe in you completionists! *BS1* 99% (PS3 // 100% game, 25% DLC for PS4), *BS2* 100%(PS3/4) and *Infinite* 99%(PS3 // 90% game, 85% DLC for PS4) is what I have and you can get it too! I don’t get many platinums so I’m proud of these. ☺️

I think the reason you don't get the reaserc PhD is because you haven't researched the security systems, turrets, cameras and a drones. I think it is because of there is no trophy for researching those
I was missing this trophy too, but luckely you can go to NG+ to complete them. I was missing the flying bots and the little sisters research because I realized to late, that I can research them. The same worked with the gun upgrades and the little sisters (I missed the one in the market because I failed to realize on my first playthrough, that is its own level.)

Dude, thank you sooo much. I had no clue I had a way of getting the no death survivor achievement and I pretty much gave up on %100ing the game. Great video.
I just platinated BioShock 1 and 2 on PS4, both with the DLCs on 100%, and now I'm playing Infinite, and I didn't have any problem at all, the PhD research in the first one pop out normally, the survivor mode is easier with the new game plus, after finishing on hard difficulty, I did NG+ and it worked, the trophy pop out normally, for me, was more legit than doing that bug with Fontaine, and is not hard, when you reach medical pavillion the game become very easy with your stuff already upgraded, the challenge rooms can be done easily with a guide, you just have to left the roses to the end, after knowing the level and with the time trophy done, you can also pause the game, the time don't continue to count until you dispause. And I'm shure if you game is in the last patch, the PhD research should pop, you probably left someone left, note that the little sisters have to be researched too, they're counted as enemy in the camera, and are very easy to be left out, you have to research them every time you see one, because they don't appear as much as the other enemies.

Hey Eric! Nice video :) I got all the achivements on Bioshock 1 and 2 (remastered version) and Infinite and it took me some time... On pc you can manually save which helped me alot with the vita chambers achivements. How is it on console? Is it the same with the save-function? I would really like to see more video like this one but with the other 2 games :) The hardest one for me was "Blue Ribbon Champ" in Infinite dlc which took me so many hours to finish. But I'm happy that I got them all. Keep up the good work!

the achievements of all 3 games aren't that hard to be very honest, you just really need to understand how the game works and play with the AI and take advantage of the mechanics, there's always good combos with plasmids/weapons that can do a lot of damage, the real issue is the challenges on Bioshock Infinite, but that's a bit of a grind
i guess being an achievement hunter for a few years now made me someone who instantly tries to understand how the game is made, how the AI behaves and there's always some tricks to take advantage, never cheating, just taking advantage of it.. Alien Isolation is a perfect example of taking advantage of the AI to get the hardest difficulty + never dying achievements in the entire run
Out of the games how would you rank each in terms of difficulty to platnium?

@@jlcfreitas I've gotten the 1st game and the infinite plat. I still wanna go back and do 2 at some point. I beat 1999 mode legit but did the exploit for survivor mode. Kinda want to go back and do that legit as well at some point.

To not rage quit on Brass Balls achievement. Save regularly and if you die make sure to reload to last save before you revive in vita chamber. Use for Bioshock one and 2…
The Research PHD one glitched out for me, but I did complete the game on the Survival difficulty with no Vita-Chambers. BioShock will likely be the fifth game I completed all of the achievements, only to be completed after Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas (Nearly twice), Fallout 4, BioShock Infinite. The Fallout games were all completed on the Xbox 360/One, while Infinite was completed on Steam.

@@TheBioshockHub The 1999 mode without using the Dollar Bill machine was not as hard. The only thing harder I achieved was completing all 60 blue ribbons, which only 0.9% Infinite players completed on Steam.
@@TheBioshockHub Scratch that, I completed all of the Challenge Room and Research PhD achievements
I platinumed Bioshock in june this year and had no issues with the Research PhD trophy at all. Just make sure to research each and every turret in the game which also belongs to the list and is often unmentioned. There is one special kind of turret which appears only once on one single map (check psn.org trophy guide for further intel) and if you miss out on that particular one, you'll have trouble on maxing out your progress for the trophy. Hope that helped out and please do more videos like this, big thumbs up.
If you want Brass Balls "legitimately" you can finish the game on Easy difficulty with all research done and all weapons upgraded. Start a New Game Plus and select Survivor. You will begin the game with everything you've unlocked once you reach Neptune's Bounty. Since you carry over unused crafting materials you can actually skip the farmers market section and can usually avoid the Big Daddy fights. Both are great time savers and help conserve ammo.

I'm really close to Prolific PhD on the PS4. I have fully researched all the splicers and the Bouncer, and now I only need to fully research the Little Sisters and the Rosie.
In bioshock two I researched every single enemy including sercurity in the game

so this is gonna sound stupid but in BioShock the collection in the very first BioShock game, there is a glitch where at the first big daddy body you come across right before you get blocked from going to Neptune's bounty if you stand in front of the body and crouch you are able to walk forward into the big daddy body an see the framework for the head, tanks on his back, arms, and legs. Its not as cool of a glitch to share but I thought it was cool the first time I tried it.
i understand it affects trophys like, when u play on hard and go down to easy u not getting the hard trophis only easy ones, but when u go from easy to hard u get thos
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Steam separates the DLCs from the base game. So if you want to 100%/platinum/perfect any game on Steam, you either don't buy the DLCs or get everything single one of the achievments.
That's very odd... weird.
One more thing I want to say is I did the same thing from 9:17 in doom 2016, on my 4th play of it right before pressing R3 on my ps4 controller I changed difficulty to as high as I could and then killed the spider mastermind
Last weekend I just got all of the I in Team achievements and it was a pain!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m going to work on the rest of the challenge room achievements.
If two years later you still dont have it, and if you dont have any reservations abt new game plus saves, I got the 100% research achievement by using a new game plus save :)! All of the research that you had at the save data previously carries over to the new game+ and with all the research tonics off the bat it makes it a lot easier to get the achievement. I hope you have managed to get the achievement though! :]
If you are going for beating survivor research is your top priority. Target dummy is your best friend here, as soon as you get the camera just deploy TD everywhere there is some thing to research and snap as fast as possible. You can fully research security bots at jet postal early game by putting TD in the security camera light at the end of the room and photographing the bots that come, rinse and repeat and you have auto hack and full strength bots. Use an alarm trigger and bot shut down panel to have 2 bodyguards through all of the game. Also take advantage of the save system, create your very own checkpoints as often as possible.

That's a really good tip. My personal tip would just be something simple like playing the game on easy, once you've beaten any of the games on the hardest difficulty, completing research on a easier difficulty should be a breeze. Something to keep in mind though, is that certain splicers/Big Daddies stop appearing after certain levels.
I need to try these achievements problem with my game, I’m play with the original Bioshock on PC and on Steam the achievement’s for the OG Bioshock don’t show for some reason. The Remaster does show Achievements but I can’t get it to work. Which sucks for me.
Oh and this isn’t a hard achievement but no one has it in Bioshock 2 the 9-irony achievement where you use a golf club to hit the Ryan wax figure in Ryan Amusements.
I love that achievement lol.

I actually have bioshock 1 and 2 at 100%, and in 1 I got pissed cause I was doing survivor difficulty without using the vita chamber, but the part u become a bid daddy and had to collect the spray it didn't let me pick it up and apparently the only thing u can do is restart so I did, and i beat it still, but it was still such a pain doing it again!

Trophies are all about semantics. The trophies for not using a Vita Chamber...you can die. You can die a lot. It doesn't say you can't die.
Disable the Vita Chamber in the settings when you start a run, and you're good to go. When you die, it reloads a previous save. Trophy accomplished.
Exactly I was worried that I'd have to keep restarting but nope. As long as ur vita chambers are off you can die are much as u want. Just keep making safety saves in place where u might have trouble and boom ez.
I remember grinding research phd trophy so frustrating. Especially when l finished fort frolic and remembered that I didnt researched turrents and bots. But some how l menaged to get trophy in end of playtrough

I did a Wrench only Survivor run and had Vita-Chambers turned off for the whole playthrough. I only died 2 or 3 times in the whole run only using my wrench and it was challenging but extremely fun! I wouldn't recommend this idea though since it CAN be pretty frustrating
I just Platinumed Bioshock on PS3, the hardest was between "I chose the impossible" and "tough guy".
Updates: since I last posted my comment I deleted it. Since the last couple of weeks I completed Bioshock 1 and 2 platnuim Trophys. It was time consuming but worth it.
Maybe I'm to late to this but if you are reading this have you tried to research the Turrets, Cams or security bots because i got the trophy i think maybe 2 months ago
It is definitely not buged but you can research more than the other Trophies show

I only have about 16 achievements for bioshock on steam, but I like to play a game, then go trophy hunting, but I know I'll get there in the end, especially since I've decided to do a bioshock play through, so if I need to know something someone might comment it

I actually have all 3 games 100% on my Xbox account, and it was by far the most satisfying thing I have ever done in gaming! Haha Blue ribbon champ was the hardest though, without a doubt.
My dad always told me stories about doing survivor on bioshock 1 without dying on the 360.
I have the research trophy and the platinum. You have to max all the research of all types of enemies, the turrets, security cameras and the bots

I have bioschock 1 completed 100% 5 times. There are separate achievements list for regional 360 releases and then there is the Xbox one version

Xbox One.
The Korean version is the rarest and cost me $90 in 2018 from eBay. I didn’t need a guide by the time I did by my 4th run. Basically memorized the achievements and collectibles. I can do it in about 12 hours
I was platinating bioshock 1 in 2020, but I missed a audio diary, a single audio diary that was missable, one week ago I restarted it at new game + and I platinated it, now I’m doing the 2

For the survival difficulty achievement you just have to play easy then change to to survival right before game ends
Research Phd is actual really easy on PC. Just take 3 Photos of every enemy
i didn't know i chose the impossible could be cheese so i did it legit and once you get past neptune's bounty it's not so bad? but the bounty was awful for me lmao. i had to keep waiting for splicers to respawn so i could harvest shit off of them to make sure i was ready for the boss fight
tough guy in worlds of hurt was hands-down the worst for me lmao. i had to try and trick big daddies into attacking each other then take the final one out with nothing but plasmids and the wrench and that took many, many tries lol
I had unlocked the platinum on bioshock 1 and 2.
For the research trophy you also need to take pictures of the security cameras, bots and turret guns. I did this on two accounts and had no issues to platinum bioshock 1.
I got those. I think I'm missing the Nitro Splicers.
@@TheBioshockHub back track to i think its either fort frolic or the docks one of those has a spot where they will always pop a nitro in the same spot. Telekinesis makes them easy though xD oh you threw a bomb at me catch!
Those find all-whatever-ones were most annoying to me. Also completing of Research in BioShock 2 was a chore.

I got the Platinum for both Bioshock and Bioshock 2 in a single playthrough
Same but for infinite i'm thinking I can't use the Dollar machine on 1999 mode but I still need to spend a certain amount of money. Gonna make me really paranoid on whether I used one of those machines by mistake.
Research PHD worked for me.
I must either be doing something wrong, or the save file I used is screwed up. Next playthrough, I'm just going to spam the camera on everything and everyone.

Platinum was easy, bioshock is still an extremely easy game without vita chambers and on survivor, got the platinum, the only hard trophy is historian( get all the diaries ) which was complete cancer.
The diary that was in a farmers market vent was literally the only 1 i didnt know existed 😂

Doing the game on 1999 mode and the I in time without distroying the turrets and get 9999 score on the mini game in menvers den I 100% bioshock 1 last night

I have platinums on all three games with 1 and 2 at 100% but stuck at 98% on Infinite with just all the blue ribbon challenges left. Hardest trophy of all three games I believe
You'll get Infinite's Platinum. Are you playing on a different version than the collection?

Gain access to Cohen’s room.
After you complete the four photographs, DONT KILL HIM, yet.
Wait until you get to his house later in the game (the one with the couple dancing inside) he he will speak to you, telling you not to disturb them. Shoot the music, kill them when they attack you. He will come down a locked door that only he can unlock.
Now you can kill him. Photograph his corpse, and go inside his secret room.

Is saving your game not allowed for “brass balls”?
You're allowed to save, I don't see why that would mess with the achievement/trophy.
Xbox players don’t really need this video to find the most difficult achievements because the most difficult or least gotten achievements have a Diamond next to them and the diamond only appears when less then 10 percent have done the achievement
Brass Balls is not hard. I completed the game on survivor without the vita chamber too. Its not that hard
