hi wat kind of paint do u use?
BEAUTIFUL THANKS SO MUCH 🔵 I'm always so glad to get a notification from you !
I loved this. The colors are great and the cells remind me of the bubbles in the ocean.
Thank you, I appreciate your time showing us how to do this. It's a beautiful ocean meets the sand interpretation!
Never heard of this technique before today. I just watched a couple of different videos. So fascinating. Wish I had the space to try it. I love your interpretation of the ocean. Lovely. And the cells are fabulous.

A cheap folding wallpapering table is a good investment for this (even if you do have the space).
I really like that art as it really does shows the ocean and its movements
I'm a quilter and crocheter who is supposed to be making dinner but got caught up in ... wow! Some beautiful otherworld crafting videos! I had NO idea this existed! I had been looking for marbling rocks with nail polish, after I had been looking for mod podging pictures onto rocks....and got sucked in to all this wonderful paint crafting! Beautiful!
Thank you Caren for a very short, simple video to follow. I'm just starting to learn acrylic pour and this was such a simple technique for a beginner to follow and understand. Sometimes longer videos have a lot of dead space and/or too much information for a beginner to follow and try to retain after 30 minutes! I'm always taking notes, but this was great! I appreciate this!
Best videos ever for pouring tectique love your way and your caring nature
Noha Mousa soooo annyoing
+Nick andCory Nah your just jealous
Noha Mousa me too. I like your caring character and candid tutorial vids!
I love how this turned out. Your videos are my favorite.
I've been watching a few folks for about 3 months now & I love this one. I really like that you can apply your style with this technique.
@ Caren It looks even better dried. I didn't realize the sandy color was actually gold. Love the photos in your shop.
Looks like the ocean to me!!
This is amazing! I am blown away. The cells just happen?
You seem to have more control and understanding of what is expected with a swipe. Beautiful and so enjoyable to watch.
It looks like an ocean, waves, bubbles, foam, sand!! gorgeous!!
Suggestion, include a link to all your social media sites where we can see and follow your work in your description area. This way when you say we can check out the final work, we can just click that link for convenience. Just a suggestion.
I agree. I went one time to try to find one of her photos of a finished painting and after searching for several minutes I gave up. I run out of time every day for everything I need to do so this just didn't work for me, which was disappointing. I'll still watch her videos but I won't attempt to find the finished paintings, which is a bit of a let down to not be able to see. I personally prefer the artists that show the finished work in the same video in which they showed making it.
Hi Caren. I do some oil painting ,and pour painting is something I like to tray , but I have no idea about what mixing. what I should add to acrylic ,or what is recipes for good pouring? Thanks
Yes
LOVE this!!! I am obsessed with the ocean and beach so I have got to try this! Using the spatula really allows you better control where you want to create movement!!! LOVE,LOVE,LOVE!!
Just starting to discover this amazing medium. I'm speechless at the gorgeous abstracts that are a result of this technique.
i can't get cells no matter what i do . i watch and do, but no luck. not sure if the paint up in canada is different but im frustrated lol. love your videos and thank you caren!
Shes now using a totally premixed paint on new vids try using some coconut oil serum from OGX from shoppers. Gives great smaller pools. I hate holes myself i mean.... yuck! so i prefer the look that gives. Her other videos you WILL see she uses a premixed all in one no recipe required paint. If you wanna make her rich you can buy it. No harm in that. But try using cool TECHNIQUES over additives or premixed stuff. Its more individual that way, i like her stuff but as we see in her latest the cells are all the SAME size & ALWAYS show up after swiping & changing the levels of colours. Which means she CAN'T lose. That's not really a talent if the results are a given. It may be a skill though..marketing; but hey the WORK is its OWN reward. (😉 esp. If youre pulling in thousands$$$)...Abstract always has the chaos beauty factor, as shes says here: HAVE FUN. People may buy her stuff BECAUSE SHE'S ON youtube. Self fulfilling fame.based on more veiwers. Just try a hairdryer on some thinned cool colours. You will be amazed at how MUCH you love your OWN work. keep painting for the JOY it gives you. What good is it to make the same thing ANYWAY art is the opposite of mass produced. Unless you wanna talk Warhol...LOL
The blow torch that you use for soufflé s..I've seen that done to get rid of bubbles, and use it more to create cells!..just saying...and also window/ glass cleaning solutions...it seperates! Practice first and have fun.
Cool technique but I think my neatnik husband would have a stroke if I did this @ home.
our 6 year old granddaughter loves to paint and is good with inks and resin. She can't wait to try this. Thanks so much. We use to live close to the beach so this is quite impressive.
Caren, this is absolutely gorgeous. I love the control that you have over the spatula when you are swiping, now if only I can get that, it will change things for the better I'm sure. Thanks for another great inspiration.
Tell me please, can I not add pouring, if I use ordinary acrylic paint
for walls? If I add silicone to it, then do I have circles? thank you
for your responses!!!
you can use house paint instead of artist acrylic paint. House paint is not as good a quality and doesn't have the range of colors that artist acrylic paint does, but you can sure use it and yes it will create cells using silicone.
Thank you very much for the answer! Tell me please ,I used the paint with silicone, but when it dried the image cracked. Because of what could this happen?
Possibly too thick of a pour. House paint tends to crack, though I know people who use it successfully. Also if it dries too quickly, such as in warm weather, it can crack. Pouring paint has it's perils but keep trying, adjust the thickness of your paint as well as the depth of the pour onto the canvas or board. Tilt and let more paint pour off so your pour is a little more shallow. Hope this makes sense.
You helped me a lot ! Indeed, I did not dissolve the paint and dried it on the window where the sun was. Thank you very much for giving such useful advice! If it is possible, I will ask one more question)))))) Tell me please, I get small bubbles, but I want big ones. What is the difference in technology? How to make big bubbles?
I don't have the "technology" between large and small cells. Please try to enjoy what happens because you can't totally control it.
Thank you so much for putting this on CZcams and adding your list of supplies-your pour came out great!!!
This is beautiful! I love the sand peeking through the sea foam.
Thank you, thank you, thank you..... when I checked on pinterest fluid acrylic paintings, I felt so overwhelmed by the beauty of the colour mixing together in such magic ways, I just cried... Your beautiful painting, the way you simply play with them and let them tell their own story,... its so beautiful. I will surely give a try! It reminds me of the feeling of freedom I get in painting colourful skies. Thanks once again!
Love you and your teaching! Don't stop. I would be lost! you have opened a whole new world for me. Thank you!
Omg I love all the big words you use so awesome. Great job on the painting. You're one of my favs. I can't normally sit through a whole video but with you I can. Thanks.
So beachy! Fabulous. Thank you for sharing, mesmerising to watch you work your magic.
Thank you Caren for taking the time to make this video, and your other videos. It can be time consuming to make these, and sharing your knowledge of art is very appreciated.:)
I LOVE your expressive!! And this is stunning. I’ve avoided the swipe but you’ve given me the incentive to try again.
I think this is wonderfully done!!! You have a great eye for knowing just what it needs or doesnt need!! Awesome colors, yes it instantly reminds me of the ocean !!!
STUNNING! I love blues and this would look wonderful in my home in almost any room but especially in my bathroom! Just a gorgeous project--now if I could just get messy enough to try it!! HA!!
I see the ocean in this the cool of the water the warmth of the sand , this is so beautiful. The white even reminds me of sea foam
Thank you for your help and advice. My first pour was a success and I feel much more confident about doing another pour.
I really love this one, these ocean colors are my favorite combinations.
This is absolutely beautiful! I loved how the ocean came out. I want to do this for my living room over my sofa. Thanks for sharing.
I love everything about this, Caren!! I tried my very first ever paint pour this morning. I have a lot of practicing to do, but what fun I had trying. I love your videos!! You are so clear in your instructions and that is so helpful to me. Thank you!!
OMG! This is so cool! The movement in this painting is beautiful. Great step by step tutorial!...
It’s amazing to see the transformation, when you did the first spatula swipe, you would think there is nothing going to happen, amazing.Really nice swipe by the way.
What a beautiful abstract! The colors are amazing and the technique is..wow!!
It's beautiful! Totally reminds me of the ocean...Love it! Thank you for showing this technique.
Stunning results Caren!!! Love how simple and down to earth you work - so inspirational! Can’t wait to give this a go! Thanks for sharing your talent! 🤗
I love this! You make it look so easy, though, of course, and all I can see is myself making a big drab looking mess - but no worries! i am going to try it anyway - you give me confidence! Thanks for the video!
I love the movement and colors and the effect of the cells.I live in the island so I love recreate in my surroundings those relaxing blues... and this a way to make it .I'll definitely will try this technique and add it to my home decor. Thanks for sharing you way of expression . Wish you the best
Stunning technique . Specially the circles. They add so much movement to the piece . I have a similar technique where I paint a simple multicolor pattern with acrylics then (after dry ) I pour very thing oil colors into a tub filled with water and may or may not work with it as it floats on top of the water. Then the front of the painting lightly touches the water. I may do this with diferent colors and stretch them with a similar spatula.
Love Warhol's quote
A very expressive and lively ocean. Beautiful view indeed.
That is so beautiful Caren! - Thank you for sharing something so precious.
Gorgeous, this is my favorite so far. You are an awesome artist, Caren, thanks so much for all you share in your videos - I'm a rank beginner so I really appreciate it!
I love that you aren't wasting so much paint. I cringe when I see tutorials of fluid art and you seen large amounts of paint dripping over. ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful, I love the colours you've chosen!
Just beautiful! I can see the ocean movement.
This is just wonderful! I love the waves and the bubbles! Thanks for your great videos.
Thank you so much for this beautiful painting, Caren!
This is absolutely beautiful and I’d love to have it in my home!! It does remind me of the ocean indeed! 🌊
That's beautiful, Caren. I often wondered how it was done. It's kind of like marbling! Thank you for sharing your technique!
Thanks Caren. Just learning about pouring and I really love your calm energy. Looking forward to learning more!
thank you Sue, hope you check out my other videos! Lots of info and painting examples to learn from.
I’ve been watching these videos trying to learn how to do this for a week now. I’m so happy I found your channel. I actually learned something and you get straight to the point which I love! Keep up the great work
I love the way the cells come up and using a torch to make more come up. This is my first experience with the cells but I did watch someone pouring large amounts of paint over a huge canvas years ago and was fascinated by a new type of art. I have to check out your instagram and some more of your other tutorials. I really am interested in it and thank you for introducing me to it.
Wow, this is gorgeous! I'd never heard of this technique before. My daughter loves to paint; I'll have to show her this.
you create so beautiful paintings among the best I've ever seen and inspire me so much. thank you very much for what you give me.
Thank you so much for this inspiring tutorial! Mesmerising!
This is fascinating!!! I've seen these types of paintings in stores for hundreds of dollars and depending on how large, even more than that. I'm impressed with your work and style. 😊
Im new to this technique, love it and your patience. Looking forward to seeing more

I am so surprised to learn the different ways of doing art and each and every one looks unique and beautiful. Thank for sharing.
I have watched a couple of your videos and got the courage to do my first pour. I love this technique. My idea was to do a "ocean" creation. I had no idea where to begin. and today your video is just that. I am excited and a little more confident to pour my ocean. Thank you Caren, I love your tutorials.
MsAngie great! Yes if you use white with some different blues and even a touch of green you should get an ocean look!
Beautiful Caren. Haven't tried swiping but the gorgeous blend of colours is appealing. Think I need to try it out.
Amazing! I love the effects you get.
Thank you for sharing. Instructions are great and your artwork is beautiful!!!
Love it!!!!! Super easy to follow, beautiful result! Thank you so much 💙💙💙
I think it does, look exactly like water coming to shore.

Just beautiful. Lovely work. Thank you for sharing.
After I clean up my textiles workshop, I'll need to reward myself with this project. Looks like so much fun!!!!!
I love your technique, and I can sea the ocean. I too do expressive paintings and looking into a new method. This pouring style is very interesting.
