- Hamas fired more than 3,000 rockets into Israel during its deadly assault last Saturday. The vast majority of the air attacks, however, caused little or no harm, largely because of Israel’s Iron Dome. The land-based defence system intercepts and destroys short-range rockets and mortars, and has been a mainstay of Israel's defence force since 2011. CNA’s Teresa Tang explains how the system works.

Put this system in place for more protection (around country Iron Dome).
it only works against sneak attacks, not planned attacks to exhaust it. its ammo is expense and the rockets to trigger it is cheap and they can exhaust it's resources to leave the defense system disabled/disarmed

Sadly, it seems like Israel is determined to go in , urban warfare will be extremely bloody😢😢😢😢. Israel wants Gaza to be razed to the ground , completely, mined , and converted into a DMZ no man’s land , like between North and South Korea . Egypt must be compassionate and allow Palestinian non combatants in urgently as refugees. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
To be more precise, Israel wants to purge the 2.4 million Palestinians out of Gaza and into the surrounding Arab countries as refugees. Israel already took 90% of their motherland, only 10% more to go.

Egypt itself hates hamas and wants nothing to do with them. Go read up on the history 10 years ago when Hamas tried to overtake the Egyptian government. Egypt destroyed 1600+ Hamas tunnels and sealed off the border. But yet its israel that maintains their border with Gaza and gets the hate.
Of course the Israelis are gonna send in ground forces, there's land up for grab. This time round, wherever the Israelis military reaches, it will be their land.

When you have to have this sort of defense system, it obviously shows that you are surrounded by enemies. Who would want to live in a place like that? Why do they think it's so HOLY??? Won't they be surprised when they pass and there is no God and no heaven? What a waste of life to be continuously a slave to a God that doesn't exist, and fighting with others that believe in their own version of the same silly thing.
It’s holy that’s why they’re blessed and very impressive for a small nation. Every time I look at Israel I know my God is real.

Iron Domes are a costly reactive defense system. In Indian landscape, this system has proved futile and has become obsolete long back. In contrast, there is a robust security apparatus known as the 'Modi Dome' that includes a pre-emptive action wing called the RAW. This invasive action wing proactively pinpoints and intercepts the terrorists precisely in any part of the world even before they can execute their plots.

The Iron Dome is definitely impressive and outstanding.
BUT it would be EVEN more impressive if it could NOT only passively neutralised incoming rockets but fire a secondary rocket from above using calculated trajectory to source of launch thus making it a passive aggressive weapon shield. 👍🏻
Once launch pads are destroyed by secondary Iron dome rockets, the worries of “being Overwhelmed” by countless adversarial rockets fired at the same time will then be made redundant.
Unfortunately the terrorists usually launch these from hospitals and residential buildings. Israel doesn’t want to hurt innocent civilians if at all possible

in theory they can be out fitted with missiles that can in theory intercept them but there are better options for that
those previous images were from simple (slow and inaccurate) homemade Hamas missiles...however if the Iron Dome were to defend itself against a barrage of Hypersonic cruise missiles would show that its not as great as Isarael claims, and would be no match for such aerospace technology

Oh dear 😢. So sad, Palestinians being slaughtered now and been kept in open prison for decades by Israelis. Both countries must stop the violence now and work out a win win arrangement of coexistence. The world must work together for a peaceful outcome and not pouring more weapons and money to fuel the conflict.

This is a huge warning to Singapore and their over reliance on technology and digitization. It was so easy to take out all that using low tech blinding of sensors. And how the strongest army in the world was smashed so easily. I supposed this fear is reflected in a total lack of support for Israel. So much of the army has been built with Israeli support and technology.
