I asked my dad when I was about 7 if he would buy me a box of magic tricks. I was going to be a magician. He had ten kids and I only asked once, so hindsight, though he was a great dad, he either probably forgot or couldn't afford it..or didn't want his kid to be poor trying to be a magician. All these tricks are exactly what I would have wanted then and I'm definitely going to be doing them now!

trimeric gorgon Of course people want to know how a trick was done...that's the whole point. The other point is that you don't tell them. If you do...it kills the wonder. Because people have a natural curiosity to know how a trick was done does *not* mean the entertainment value of the explanation even comes close to the awe of seeing what seems to be magic. But don't take my word for it...watch the video and look at the reaction...it's blatantly obvious.

This is the truth. I only have a couple tricks I can do but I don't like to tell how it is done. It is great to keep the mystery and really better I think most people won't take the time to practice which is what is important for slight of hand. So really they just learn the trick but don't do it, so the magic is gone.
