Spent a couple months in my studio working on this pencil drawing. Its been a huge study in texture and refining techniques with graphite and brushes to get a result I'm really proud of. I hope you enjoy this slow journey of how the drawing was made from start to finish.

Love this piece and your work in general. I think my favorite piece that you've done is the eye with the figure stepping out of the pupil: so cool. What do you think of the idea of drawing an ageing eye with obvious cataracts and have a mini surgeon performing surgery on the cataracts?

I was wondering, is it easier to draw something so intricate on a large scale than on a small scale. It has to be easier on the eyesight for those not blessed with perfect vision.
