The fact that there were 6 Post Malone songs in this bracket, but not one Kanye song is absolutely wild to me.
Not that surprising, you have to remember he came out at a time where streaming platforms weren't a big thing (until they got really popular in the 2010s). He still does amazing numbers and has a song from 2007 with over 1 billion streams. That's actually kinda insane.
@@nah8780 Kanye is a legend in the industry, while post Malone is only really commercially successful, I don't know if he has any critical acclaimed albums, really just a pop star in my opinion.
@@milojackson7046 I'm not sure you fully understood what I meant, Kanye IS a legend and my favourite artist of all time, but he came out in the early 2000s when music streaming wasn't even a thing. Post Malone came out in the mid 2010s when basically everyone used streaming services at that point. That alone is why his music pulls so many numbers, it's not really the quality of it that made it popular (even tho he has 1 pretty good album). In my comment I was actually complementing Kanye because having a song from 2007 with over 1 billion streams is insane since streaming was just getting started around that time.

XO Tour Llif3 being eliminated in the first round is wicked. Of course it's all personal preference and I fully respect your opinions, but since you started talking about influence, I'd argue XO is WAY more influential than Sicko Mode and Uzi doesn't get enough credit for that. They paved the way for emo-rap/trap in the current zeitgeist and the success of this subgenre and most of its artist could be (in great parts) traced back to Uzi and XO Tour Llif3.

What a crossover
For those wondering why so many new songs are the most played, it's because they are shorter. If my favorite Weeknd song is 5 minutes long, I can only listen to it twice in 10 minutes. You can play "Old Town Road" like 5 times in 10 minutes. The majority of songs on this list fall under the 3 minute mark.
This just makes the longer songs on this bracket more respected. It’s a joke mood and old town road are on here 😂
