Picking up where we left off last week on the middle\ lower section of the Palisade Plunge with Noah Sears. This is the exposed jank that you need in your life. There has been a fair amount of negativity coming from the crusty local contingent around the Western Slope surrounding this trail lately, but I am a big fan. If this isn't your cup of tea, I completely understand, but please do not blame the trail if it doesn't suit your style, skills or fitness. This is mountain biking, it's hard, and it should be. I would encourage anyone with a mountain bike to get involved at a local level with trail building to make positive change if you take issue with the current trail direction in your area. This is the best way to make a positive impact on a sport that we all love. Complaining on the interwebs actually doesn't get cool trails built, it actually doesn't do anything. Stay positive friends, and enjoy the ride! #followcamfriday #mtb

Show them some love.
Thoughts on this section of trail? People have been very negative on the Plunge lately but I absolutely love this bit of tech. It's hard, it's exposed, it's mountain biking. Live for it amigos.
Strikes real fear into my heart. Riding it is a privelege and I love it for what it is. Art will always have critics!
I wasn't sure about riding it because of all the bad comments. But if you like it I am going to ride it. Suggest to start at lands end road?
It looks great, it looks more XC than the whole enchilada IMHO. I did the enchilada and that was epic! Great video as usual Nate!!
Hard, exposed, and holy shit... 😳
I’ve done it twice and love it! It is hard work and maybe not for everyone… and that’s okay. Ride on!
The exposure is real. It doesn't seem as bad in this video.
You can tell it’s bad when you can’t see anything beneath Nate in the corners…
Not for the faint @ heart tough riding good job guys
USA - what an epic place for biking 😍
FREERIDAY , Finally new episodes THANKS
Okay now I start my late day ! Beyond Beautiful. Thanks Nate !!! 👍
Enjoy!
One of the best trail ride ever seen 😱
The sandiness and looseness combined with the exposure gets me.
My happy place ;)
Love the exposure and Tex but you guys make it so easy 😮
I can’t wait to try this trail myself 👍👍👍
I agree with the sentiment of building the trails you want to ride and getting involved with your local trails advocacy group and making it happen. I recently rode Captain Ahab for the first time ever. I didn't particularly like the trail, not because I didn't think it was absolutely amazing trail building, because it totally was. I build trails all the time and appreciate the artistry that goes into trail building as if it was a van Gogh. I just prefer going up to then go down with minimal effort on the down. That said, I'll practice and ride Captain Ahab again when I have that set of XC/trials skills to ride the technical uphill sections. Ain't complaining about the trail other than with my lack of skills to handle that sort of uphill technical kind of trail. I'll get there, just need to ride more Captain Ahab style trails. Great video. This trail has been on my bucket list.
You couldn't have said it better. I love trails that humble me. Instead of complaining about sections that challenge me, I just strive to get better. It really bums me out to see people complain about their weaknesses and hate on certain trails because they simply don't have the skills or fitness. If mountain biking was easy, it wouldn't be very interesting. lol
That donut hole you pass was a perfect spot for a quick snapshot.
9:15 might be the gnarliest move of the whole section. Loose, narrow ledge-up in a definite "no-fall" zone.
Tamer of the jank.
Best part of the Plunge! There's more exposure on Mira Monte Rim at Lunch Loops.
Did it a month ago and it scared the crap out of me
Spectacular trail! ..with consequences 😱Nice riding dude 🤟🏼🤙🏼
Love the caption. Respect 🤘🏻keep up the good work!
It looks like an awesome challenge with great views
Loving this months videos!🎉

Another Brilliant Episode - Well Done
Cheers
Cheers Travis
superb section ... love it ❤
Somehow I wasn't able to sit comfortably on my couch watching this😱
Very technical course for me you ride it like a walk in the park!
It’s on my list. Can’t wait to give it a go!
I have only ridden Lunch Loops and Fruita stuff. Gotta get back down there. You guys make it look easy. Happy Friday!!
Desert season is upon us. Get it.
amazing trail!!
brutal!!!💪💪💪💪
Sick!!!
Very nice Nate
Vaya pedazo de ruta
. Muy chula como siempre
Sawadee rap from Kohl’s Samui. Enjoyed the ride. Have a good weekend🙏
Looks badass! A groomed bike park trail it isn't, thank goodness!
I'm going to add that to my list as well. The pizza also!
Pizza is your reward for slaying the jank.
If you filmed the final drop into the canyon, I would like to see that too That is one relentless technical trail.
I filmed the bottom section last year but my battery’s died on this lap unfortunately.
Looks like an awesome trail to ride. I ride that in a heart beat if I was in the area. Don’t know what there is to complain about.
Wonderful trail!!!ciao nate from Como lake
amazing-seems to go on forever without getting closer to earth below. loose, rocky, dusty, exposed, what’s not to like?
People tend to complain about their weaknesses.
DAMN SON!!!...my only thoughts the entire video 😅.
Nice ❤
ur gopro def favors the left side view lol
💯🔥🧨
Amigo the guy in front shreds de knar
Noah is a legend.
Has anyone else noticed that gravity is stronger on the downhill side of the trail?
After clipping a pedal and falling off a 10 foot cliff earlier this summer that exposure is too much for me. Epic footage tho !!!
Redemption!
Color bike good
WOW, what type bike and brakes were you guys using 😮
Why "people have been very negative on the Plunge"? Other than the exposure, what's not to like?
Warna sepedanya baru yang nett hill
Is this Colorado?
Yes, Palisade, CO
who in their right mind would shit on 30 miles of descent?
Sad humans? ha
It's nice and scenic but not all downhill. It's my backyard.
