Hurrem would’ve gotten Mirhimah married to Bali Bey in a HEARTBEAT if he felt the same way. I think the ONLY reason she wants Rustem to marry Mirihmah is because he loves her, and in Hurrem’s mind, that love will be enough.
The primary purpose of Mihrimah and Rustem's wedding was to garner power from Rustem's esteemed position in order to protect Mihrimah's brothers and strengthen their claim to the throne.
I hate that in the history it was Suleiman who wanted married her daughter for Rüstem. Mihrimah accepted Rüstem because of it. Mihrimah realized that he is her and her mother biggest supporter against Mustafa and Mahidevran. Mihrimah do not loved him but they respected each other. Their relationship was about that. Mihrimah was much stronger that she is in the show. After all when Hürrem died Mihrimah was acting as Valide Sultan. Mihrimah had a power much stronger than Nurbanu. Nurbanu had a power after Mihrimah died.
Yeah in real life suleiman wanted to marry her to rustem, hurrem actually never wanted this marriage to happen, she wanted mihrimah to marry the governor of Egypt as he was very handsome and good looking but in the show they showed that she married mihrimah to rustem for her sons future. And one more thing these people forget time after time is that none of these sultanas had the chance of a love marriage, they would marry whomever their parents ( mostly their father : The sultan ) decided. It was like that in those times. And mihrimah and rustems relationship in the show is highly exaggerated, she never killed rustem as portrayed in the show and she never hated him and was never interested in other men like “Ilkas Mirza” and the Spanish doctor “Pedro” as shown in the show. She was the strongest ottoman sultana by blood in the empire but in this series they literally ruined her character
@@mixvideos5483 yes i think in real life, hurrem didn't want mihrimah get involved in the political marriage. hurrem want her daughter to have a happy life (MAYBE) but then sultan suleyman want mihrimah to marry rustem. hurrem also have no power in making decision like that so hurrem just follow the flow ~
@@ninaj.4918 Indeed it's Suleiman who married mihrimah with rustem, however I can't believe he didn't ask hurrem on this. Suleiman loved hurrem deeply with his heart, hurrem was mihrimahs mother! I think hurrem expressed her disagreement on this decision so I believe it was mihrimah who wanted Rustem and that's what convinced hurrem to accept, the marriage would never take place if both parents didn't accept it. So yes, probably it took them time to convince hurrem. When it came to family matters, Suleiman never decided alone, he wanted to agree with hurrem, when it came to his sisters and pashas, hurrem was his advisor always, he created an open room for hurrem next to divan with curtains around so she can hear what is said and watch and later advise Suleiman regarding the decisions. No decision on divan or sisters was taken solely from Suleiman, hurrems opinion was valued and necessary. Anything outside those two areas (divan , sisters and family) hurrem could not intervene, and I mean mahidevran and Mustafa, she had no say there and Suleiman most likely never discussed his thoughts on Mustafa with hurrem.
How did Mihrimah die?
I heard that in real history Mikhrimakh loved her husband. It's just here, in the show she loved another guy, for make it more dramatic
I must say that Hurrem looks beautiful in that outfit and with her hair loose. Sometimes it’s like they put the actress in unflattering colours and dress cuts to make her look older.

However, if hurrem doesn't do it, the sisters would intervene and find someone loyal to them and propose him to Suleiman. Sadly mihrimah as I said before is burned, she won't marry by love anyway, because both her mother and her aunt want to use her as she's the strongest card on table to use for their benefits. But, hurrem is the mother, not Shah neither hatice, so between the two bad sides on this, I pick hurrems side, let it be Rustem who is loyal to the MOTHER and not the AUNTS.
