- I tried my best to include a variety of information that can apply to both beginners and those experienced in this hobby. Hopefully you learned a few things or I managed to put some ideas in your head when it comes to your next build. As for anything within this hobby, this isn't the "perfect" freestyle drone for everyone, but to me it is. Anyways thank you for stopping by and reading this :)

Building is half the fun
Great video!! Keep them coming
I just finished my 4th Quadmula build! It's a Mini Split also! I just maidened it and I might have a new favorite quad! Just FYI, I throw like 100 of those little m2 tpu nuts in Cura and they take like 15 minutes to print. I'll never need all of them but it makes me happy to know that I will never run out! lol! Nice video. Your tuning video really helped me tune my first Quadmula. (Siren F5 Split!) Great job, man!
Ayy these types of comments is what motives me to do this stuff. Thanks so much and glad the videos have helped 👍
This is very helpful! Thx
Nice build and really good video
Awesome!
Thank you D3B8 for this vid! Awesome build!
I'm now in the progress of building a full size Siren F5 split (my first build). And yes to solder that XT60 lead is a real pain in the ass, I had to redo to it already 3 times.... I had it right, but after probably too many times bending the leads (without being secured with a ziptie yet) one of the solder points snapped. So here we go again.... (and yes, a solder practice board is a must! )
Ya np my man, glad it helped and flux is your best friend with that part
Finally got it right now. The T-motor ESC I use came with a 12 awg wire XT60 pigtail. I now instead use a 14 awg xt60 pigtail for the ESC which makes soldering a LOT easier.
I just didn't trust the solderpoint I got with the 12awg wire because it already snapped once. Since that wire is soo stiff it puts more pressure on a solder point when bending the wire to fit. According Oscar Liang 14 awg should be perfectly fine. We'll see. I save a few grams that way too.
Now lets hope the T-motor esc survived all the heat I applied with all that soldering and de-soldering, getting rid of excessive piles of iron......
(I think learning to de-solder is as much important than to solder, that way you can do it over and over again till it's right, which I did, only hope the ESC survived...... 😃)
Are you going to show us how you set up your filters ??? I've seen your tuning and blheli just waiting for filters.
Running a similar build. Thank you for the video brother.
Question:
Why did you cut the wires from the O3 unit and not need to use all of them?
I’m running the O3 and a Radiomaster RP4TD receiver.
Do I not need to use all the wires on the O3 to FC cable as well?
I appreciate you,
Kyle
I cut the wires because that specific fc doesn’t have a plug for the harness and you only need to use the first 4 (P, G, Rx, and Tx) the other 2 are for if you want to use the DJI controller 👍
This is the frame i was looking between apex dc light weight and this. But the apex frame win , building in progress, just to look what motor put on it for a good freestyle punchy quad, and good consumption..
Apex is waaaaay heavier so this thing is just in another league
holybro wasnt reliable? i was thinking to buy one mainly because you used it. Also is great to have a build video of my favorite pilot. Thanks (sorry for bad english)
Thanks for this.
Why the action 2…motion blur, different ISOs - one to fly by, and the other for proper exposure, or other reason?
Yep pretty much 👍 Also would have standoffs/props in view and a lack of flight audio.
I'm way early
Too bad quadmula doesn't have frames in stock....I Wana do a 3 in split siren 6s with 03
what propellers are you using?
The motor direction wizard does not work in 4.4.2. Every time I need to change motor direction, I have to flash 4.4.0, use the wizard to change motor direction, save a backup, flash back to 4.4.2 and load the backup. You could also swap 2 motor wires on the ESC, but I like to make my life more difficult! lol
That’s a bit odd, haven’t encountered that. I mean you can adjust the motor direction in blheli32 if you don’t want to constantly change versions on Betaflight.
I've never activated boot loader on a new build! just update, Is this something I should be doing? i always save the factory, firmware,
I didn't even know you could update without activating bootloader haha, unless if it does it automatically. Anyways ya I would recommend activating it before updating.
