Cab View - Koolbury to Parkville 2021

Driver's view of the Main North Line in the down direction from Koolbury to Parkville, NSW, Australia. Koolbury is just outside of Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley. The settlements of Aberdeen (of Katherine Knight fame) and Scone are also seen.
All in cab procedures were followed during filming of this footage.

2:25 Aberdeen Station, looks like it's been decommissioned. I came past this station some ten years ago, grabbed a snack at a shop and parked near the station while I chomped. Had a bit of a browse, the station had a "Countrylink" sign that looks like it's been removed.

Aberdeen is still active, it gets used by the Scone pass service daily, as well as the Xplorer service if requested.

Top video poor old Aberdeen loop doesn't seem to get used much these days hopefully one day it will be extended longer

Yeah, I've only been put away into it on a light engine move, or to do a descale once.
