Here is a Tip to get the Mystic Spearhand vocation early in the town Melve by defeating the dragon and talkign with Sigard - Hry

Advice: go to the ballista tower and kill the dragon in 3 shots then go to its body to collect an awesome weapon
Or, use thief and you can steal the weapon with light attacks.

@@JesserDaddy In the Story, that is actually the same lesser Dragon that attacked Melve
AFTER you get mystic spear hand, go to dragons breath tower in Bakbattahl, meet Sigurd again, help him fight the dragon that attacked melve, talk to him a couple times and he should give you the maister skill for the vocation. It’s so badass to use
This vocation is so insanely fun. Also, if you miss Sigurd in Melve after the dragon fight [like I did] you can find him in Harve at a cabin on the eastern end of the town on a little hill.
and if you miss him after that you can find him at dragons breath tower
For those who missed him, he goes to the other city that has the Suarian raids. He lives far west of the village up the hill.

Something to add, there's a timed quest after doing the monster culling to deliver the letter to Lennart who's in Melve. Also talk to the vocation guy in the city and scroll over sorcerer and warrior to unlock the quest to unlock them too. The location for those 2 is also Trevo Mine
good thing he talks to you automatically cause i would have missed it and now this is my favourite vocation
I randomly went back to the village to check on it after discovering battahl, was talking to all the people after the village was rebuilt, and spoke to this random dude in a house who basically just said “hey, what’s up” to me and out of nowhere it said I obtained mystic spearhand vocation with ZERO context. Never did any quests and didn’t meet this guy prior
That happens if you go far enough into the story so you wont see the dragon attack on harve(?) I mix that one and melve up
Skipped the part where you can use a ballista and kill the dragon in three shots instead of fighting it.
I shot him 3 times he didn’t die

@@caleblucio800 doesn't matter if it's as cool or not. One way gets you the busted weapon early one doesn't. If you don't kill the dragon and honestly the vast majority of people won't kill it without using the ballista their first playthrough it runs away and you miss getting the weapon.

You can also just go around at Melvee and use the ballista to kill the dragon. So everyone who's going back, instead of going straight to the dragon, go on the right side across the wall, up to the city on its ballista and attack the dragon. It will take 3 shorts and you managed to kill your first dragon :)
I literally didnt even realise this. I only unlocked this class when I bumped into him at the dragon tower!

If you miss him after the fight. He is in a house up the hill in Melve, you can get it from him there.
Dont forget to fight the dragon as a thief to get the most powerful duospear you will find til around endgame unless you can kill the dragon witch is imposible at that point as you dont have much time to do so some ppl say yo use the bilista on the tower however i found that a little difficult for me atleast but a thief around lv 3 or 4 has a core skill called bump and lift witch can steal loot from enemys has a low chance but for a dragon its more than enough also the spear only comes from a sickly dragon from what ive gathered i could be wrong on that part tho tbh trust me if your new to this game that vocation with that spear will carry you through the game with ease esp with how op the core skills are
Is it beneficial to level as mage or sorcerer for more magic for this class or doesn’t it really matter?
Unlocked this accidentally early on and still have yet to use it. Been having too much fun testing and capping all the basic/advanced vocations
Don't forget to ask him his name also. He will give your main pawn a mystic spear hand weapon that does 545 damage its OP
Can I still do this? I never got the option for it when I visited him at his home
@Alex-tu4ej no its only possible when you meet him during that dragon fight at melve. You have to exhaust all speech options with him then check your pawns inventory.
@@marcusyoung2433 what's the weapon name? I'm sure there is a workaround, has been wiry amot of stuff you miss in game
@Alex-tu4ej it's called Dead Ringer. I tested it because I saved before and didn't ask his name. Reloaded two times and asked his name and both times he gave me Dead Ringer for free. I mean you can just buy the weapon in vernsworth post game or from volcanic island camp. Or you can get it early from the spearhand guy.

You can just do the queen regent one then head back it's faster and still works
Definitely kill the dragon with the balista, save or sleep at a inn before you take the ox cart to melve. That way if you miss your shots you can retry. Also make sure you kill him where they are fighting him. If you kill him over the houses he disappears and you can't loot the weapon.
I need help. I have the skill to teleport once my r1 spell thing hits an enemy but never works. I also have the spin your weapon skill by spamming Square but I'm literally spamming square and my weapon isn't spinning. Just basic attacks
There is a way easier way. Do the mission where u sneak into the castle then go back to melve and help them fight a dragon and talk to the guy who has the duospear after and ask him about his fighting style,dont ask his name
I use a ps5 and a computer monitor yet not once have i had frame or lag issues?? Also what is the dragons plague? I beat the game yesterday and havent came across it!
And if you miss him he lives in Harve village where you can get it there

Should have also mentioned you can get Dragonsplague by fighting drakes or dragons keep an eye on that cuz it can ruin a playthrough

What happens if you already did that mission a while ago? Could I still find him?
Yes. You can find him during the mission where you have to get the 15 wyrmslife crystal from the lesser dragon. He’ll even help you during that mission. There’s probably other ways. That’s just the only other time I’ve seen him.
Lmfao I didn't have to go through the dragon I just helped melted from the lizard like guys did other things for a few in-game days went back and saw sigard just chilling so I picked a book up in his hut and unlocked mystic spearhead

There's an npc in front of the oxcart who gives u a quest to go to melve to deliver a letter when u get that quest the dragon appear
