Still cant understand how this was on an outtakes album. Damn near perfect song.
How songs like Evacuation and Grievance were chosen over this still blows my mind. Binaural was so damn close to being perfect.
07foxmulder I still think it's their best, although they have yet to make a less than great album, IMO. I have to respectfully disagree about evacuation and grievance tho. Those are great songs to me also.

Pearl jam have so many underrated bangers, it’s mental. From this to hard to imagine to deep to indifference to army reserve and I could go on.
They certainly must do what they are told, to have so many, bangers, as you say. They obey, and are rewarded with fame and fortune. But never, do they show any integrity, but those days are over...so what, right?

Had this song in 2003 before it was released. Listened to it all the way to and from Indianapolis. Dang, can't believe that was over 2 decades ago.

Não tem como não amar essa banda, ouvindo PJ desde 97 e até hoje me emociono com o som dos caras, pra mim é a melhor banda de todos os tempos, pra quem é fã incondicional não tem oque fala, vi os caras 3 vezes, a primeira vez foi em 2005 e onde tiver a oportunidade de tirar foto com o Eddie vedder e até hoje a ficha não caiu … 🤘🏽😅❤️

Of all of the mysteries of the universe, this is the big one: HOW did this song not make it on Binaural??? It would EASILY be the best track on the entire album. It's a god damn crime against humanity! The riff alone is a masterpiece.I guess Mr. Vedder was in one of his moods.

There're like two songs in PJ catalog featuring ukulele, i don't understand why's that even a problem
According to Stone Ed became official leader in 1996, considering the quality of no code, and the next albums, it was a great decision
I'm not justifying Ed, i just think you're being too prejudiced towards him
There're a lot of things that i don't like, ukulele for example, or not releasing this song, or education, or falling down. But the man wrote this song for god's sake, and they haven't forgotten about it unlike previously mentioned falling down
Notice that after early 2000s he sings " he 'll always love you" instead of the orginal " he could only love you".. after his new relationship. . Just noticed, he never r sings the original lyric anymore..

PJ should release another part of Lost Dogs (from the last decade). There are so many hidden treasures. I believe they have extra unreleased music which might even better than tracks from their albums.

I legit see no reason why this did not make Binaural. It would have fit super well. Put it around the end of the album, maybe before Parting Ways or after Of The Girl. It would have been perfect. It should have made it, this is one of the best Pearl Jam songs.
Edit: was reading the comments and saw someone said they left it off the album because it sounded like a pop song (I'm assuming they're referring to pop in a sense of its literal meaning, popularity). understandable. this is the same reason they left Better Man off of Vs. I can see this song being played every 15 minutes on the radio, so yeah.
