I knew these would stop at Season 3. Season 4 goes over too many people's heads. What makes Arrested Development so great isn't the punchlines from your compilations. It's the running gags, the dramatic irony, and the belated payoffs. Season 4 is some of the most brilliant TV ever written, but it needs more attention than most people have to give.
Honestly, I have full transcripts written for Seasons 4 and 5 to make the videos. Unfortunately, I don't have any way of accessing the footage of them to edit. If I can ever find a way to get the files of those seasons, I'll release those videos within weeks.
@@LorenzoDoesntExist Perhaps. I'm not a huge fan of ripping stuff like that in full. While yes, I'm already uploading content owned by Fox, I'm only uploading small clips for the world to see. Also I'm just not very familiar with torrents.
I dunno, I felt like S4 was more buildup than punchline too often in comparison to the earlier seasons. Despite being the first season with streaming in mind during production, I find it way harder to binge because the pace is way slower than before, and splitting up the cast meant that a lot of on-screen chemistry was completely gone. It has some of my favorite scenes of the entire series (like Tobias on How to Catch a Predator), but overall it has way less laughs-per-minute and a lot of the buildup doesn't have a worthy payoff. I also really dislike what they did to Michael as a character. He's way less sympathetic and it kind of soured the good ending he had in Season 3, but that's a nitpick

I love how Maeby's character is relegated to weird shenanigans that don't make sense for a teenager. Her impersonation of a retirement home resident in season 5 was pretty amusing too.
The only scary thing about a one-armed man trying to scare someone is the fact that he feels that his one arm is good for nothing but trying to scare somebody.
i love how Tobias is sharp enough to see a potential OCD diagnosis in George-Michael but completely fails to see that Lindsay is making a complete mess - using the same sequences of footage.
He is subconsciously relieved that Lindsey is not focused on their sex life. He would rather deal with her making a mess, possibly giving him food poisoning, or maybe even burning down the house if he can keep avoiding the "intimacy" subject. 😆
The "musty old clap-trap" comment followed by the 5 second silence is one of the finest moments of the shows. For a series that has perfected miscommunication as expertly as Arrested Development, there are few better examples!
