- An image reporting to show the son of a Chinese football club owner has gone viral on social media over the last week, along with the claim that the owner forced the manager into starting his son.
However, there's much more to this story than meets the eye, and the rumour being spread online is both incorrect, and not nearly as interesting as the truth.
So in this video, HITC Sevens tells the true story behind the viral photograph, untangles the misinformation, and explores the weird world of Chinese soccer owners who fancy themselves as players. - Sport
Honestly the fact that you did this much due diligence and research is absolutely crazy. Specifically as I believe most of the articles about semi-professionnal and amateur football in china absolutely has to be written in Chinese

@@hanyuzhu7276 Very minor mistake given how far away China is. Id still say he done your country a service by clearing up the misinformation regarding the Chinese league and it’s tiers that is prevalent in western society.
@@RitchieSacramento88 The Chinese leagues ARE terrible, I've been to league one games and they are horrific..... although the super league is not bad, the players are actually good and the games are fun to watch..... friendly people, craft beer after, good memories.....

I think the highest praise I can give your channel is that I have very limited interest in football generally but yet I’ve watch virtually every mini-documentary style video you’ve made! Really interesting and well researched, keep up the fantastic content it’s really appreciated!
Oh, as an aside on this, I was sent a photo of the 2015 Iranian Women's Team, effectively for "Lol, they're mostly men" purposes. But Wikipedia suggests this is not true. But like this story, it plays to MANY prejudices. Any chance?

When Bundesliga and other German pro teams had a little run on Brazilian players back in the 1990s, it got to be like a standing expression: "Der hat seinen Bruder geschickt!" ("That bloke sent his brother!") when a Brazilian turned up and was, miracle of miracles, _not_ the next Pelé. I'm not sure there was an ACTUAL case of it though. :D

If I am to bring a bit to critique to the video, I think you spend too much time in the beginning going through some Twitter stuff without saying much. Otherwise, great video.

This was a great video as usual! I never saw the photograph but some social media accounts exist just to make followers. They make exaggerated rumours and post baseless truths which are often found out to be lies. Even media houses like the Sun are like this. Someone like you who researches well and only then posts videos should be well applauded and encouraged. Thanks for putting in the effort and keep going!

On the top right, the competing teams are 吉林百家 (Jilin Baijia) and 西安大兴崇德 (Xi'an Daxing Chongde) and not Zibo Cuju (淄博蹴鞠, pronounced more like "Zuh Boh Choo G")
