Riding the iron ore train in Mauritania was one of my wildest adventures to date. This is the world's longest train, and it transports iron ore from a mine in the Sahara, to the city of Nouhadibou on the coast of Mauritania. You can ride it... at your own risk 😉 This film was shot at the beginning of January 2020, before the pandemic.

They are poor, yes but they have deeply rooted culture
They are called Shangeeti
And I guess that train appeared while in the mini bus was for iron ore
They are famous of iron ore export and fisheries

What an adventure! Very well filmed, narrated and the post production. I had dreams of similar journeys on the African continent, but then life changed and I became handicapped. So foreign travels became impossible. Therefore I admire and appreciate such journeys through others journeys and adventures so much more.

This is what makes you a true adventurer! This is the most crazy journey I have ever seen - I don't know anyone else who would do it or even think about it. The footage is absolutely stunning - you made being covered in iron ore dust romantic! What a trip - respect!!
This is why I love Eva and Mike. I get to watch daring adventures at the same time, learning other people’s lives and culture in some seemingly forgotten wilderness and whatever comfort and discomfort they are in! Who needs fiction on screen? Just these raw videos of their experiences are keeping me entertained. Thanks again, Eva and Mike.

This is the first video I’ve seen of yours. This was absolutely awesome and brave! I’m from the US and planning to ride a train in Australia from the comfort of a passenger cabin. I would have never in my life thought of doing a train ride in an open air ore car. Looked like an incredible journey. Glad you shared with us. Fantastic! Bravo!!

Hey Eva thank you for visiting my country, you're such an amazing human beeing i suggess if you still in Mauritania to visit the Banc d'Arguin it's a beautiful pace and Richat Structure
(the eye of the desert).
That train is considered as the longuest in the world and it's used to ship the iron for Zouerat to Nouadhibou and generally it's not for humans but they still use it because it's free haha.
