Glad I found your channel. Love the wands you’re making.
I enjoyed watching this. It gave me ideas for my own wand making ventures. I've only made 3 so far. And I had to do them with very limited tools. But I was happy with the outcome. But they were very basic style wands given my options to make them. But I plan to get more tools and get more elaborate. The biggest things I want are a better and bigger belt sander and a better rotary/dremel tool with the cord extension for the cutting part. I love your wands. And you inspire me to do better. Love your channel.
If the Wizarding world was real KivoxEnder could be the North American Oliveander.
One idea is that if you don't have the proper tools you can carve the wand out of a good thickness of wood you found on a stick or you can carve a wand with extra sticklike wood you have from a previous project you did with good or new wood with a pocket knife you have. When I was alone in the back yard when I was younger I used to play harry potter and make wands out of sticks I found.
12:18 “it cuts be careful if you put your material in hear it cuts” *as he rubs his finger on the blade*
Lol 😂
After watching your videos i decided to make my own wands and so far i've made about two and a half wands, they are relatively basic but every wand I make seems to get better. I've just been using my pen knife at the moment and surprisingly it's working really well and I'm using some wood from some small trees that self seeded in my back garden which my Dad cut down recently and it's really good sized wood and it's relatively easy to carve but is still very strong so it's really good for making wands
I was looking to get started on wandmaking and this video is a godsend. Love your work. Thank you
I will be making more in the future, working on getting a new shop worked out. That’s talking up a lot of my time
I wish I could afford to get all of the tools :( looks like I'm going t have to save up :( Either way though its pretty intrusting to see what kind of tools you need. Definitely going to use this video a lot for reference though.
Thanks for the tips! Very helpful!
But... but what do you use to finish your wands? So like... as a finish?
TO STOP SLIPPING TRY A FEW HOT GLUE DOTS FOR BETTER GRIP on the gloves/ tool. Cant shop at AMAZON U.S.A. something to do with import tax. Australian Amazon is insanely expensive not worth going there.this is from AMAZON U.S.A. "We are unable to ship non-digital items from amazon.com to Australian shipping addresses.
Please choose a shipping address that is not in Australia to proceed." Little hard as l only live in Australia. THANKS FOR YOUR VID REALLY ENJOYED CONTENT
you can get sand paper bits for your dremel
2 minutes in yuppp i bout sliced off my pointer yesterday cause i was tired and didnt wanna leave it unfinished for the night 😂
The cut resistant gloves can be purchased with a rubber/latex coating on the entire palm. I get mine from an industrial/safety supply store.
After 5 years I hope he realized that the button between the trigger and the speed dial of his hand belt sander is actually a lock for continuous sanding

"Somewhat quick." 20 minute video.
I know, it was supposed to be but it got a little out of hand
Hello. My name is Patty but I usually go by Stlnflt (Stallionflight) online. Love the tools video. It helps a lot for people who want to start woodworking. LOVE THE WANDS!!! What face protection do you use? Where do you get your wand ideas from? Also, what other woodwork do you do (if any) and would you ever show it on you tube?
thats a lot of questions lol, ok here we go. I just ware glassed a respirator and headphones . the ideas are random but sometimes we come up with them together on the live streams . not really and probably not
KivoxEnder Thanks. That helps. It may take a while but it gives me a place to start.
I used a knife and sandpaper👌
Dear Kivox
If the gloves make knife handles slippery...
Change the handle. Put finger grooves in. Glue strips of sandpaper on.
First comment ❤️ hopefully happy thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽
I use 1 tool and that’s an angel grinder with a sanding disk
Is a respirator necessary or can I just use a face mask if I plan to work outside?
I do it, I'm 12, and I have no supervision!
Be careful, your probably going to hurt yourself at some point 👍😁
Wooo 😸
Lathe cheating! Hahaha 😂😂😂 it's the best tool for wand making
If you have not already please please please do a review of all the wands that you made please respond to this comment somebody and tell me if he’s already did it or not
I haven’t done it, and that would be a very long video, but I hope to do one at some point
how would you rank the flexcut knives in terms of usefulness (1 being most useful) in getting from branch to wand? I'm thinking of buying but don't want to "over-buy".
I make all my wands from sticks using just a knife and sandpaper. Any knife will do. I have a variety of pocket knives and use whichever one I have in my pocket at the time. Obviously, I have my favourites. The rough rider Amber bone whittler is a favourite with 3 blades. A large spear point for removing loads of wood with a small sheeps foot and pen blade for more detailed work. Flexcut make a folding knife called the Whittling Jack, another favourite, which is also really good but expensive.
Wand making has to be my cheapest hobby wym?! All I need is a dowel I found on the side of a road and a pocket knife!
Nice, 😁
Could I use a pocket knife?
I use a craft knife just a craft knife so yeah you can use a poclet knife
Brayden the barbarian mood. I have scars on my left hand from using a potato peeler to remove bark from a branch
But the most important thing on this list is the gloves. Carving will blister your fingers pretty fast if you aren't used to it.
He has like a milion of tools for a wand
I have a hot glue gun and paint ;-;
Hello
what up yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
KivoxEnder good how about. You
super scribbles What's up
Yo I thought u died fam
What do you use when you burn designs into your wands? Designs like symbols.
Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?
I always liked Ron, but Newt is great and probably my favorite
