He wasn’t cheated lol He just missed the timing of pressing up, for it to cut off the head Only the Sega Genesis port of MK 2, lets you do it without pressing up
It's funny how they let you change character after you fight Jade. In keeping with the Shaolin Monks storyline, I would have Kung Lao beat most everyone up the ladder. Then after the Jade fight, switch to Liu Kang and let him finish the job. This completes the Shaolin Monks storyline, with Kung Lao doing most of the work, and Liu Kang finishing the remainder. 😏
