Not only are your ideas fantastic, but your soft voice and gentle movements (and allowing dead air at times) make your videos so soothing and relaxing to watch.
That’s very kind of you! I’m glad to hear this! Thank you.
Embossing a magazine page. Who would've thought of this? You! I can't wait to try this. Sanding is the key to grunge it up so it's not so shiny. Thank you for sharing such great ideas!
Thank you Joyce! I’m glad you came by and happy that you like this idea!

I use a lot of magazine images in my journals. Using sand paper on them is a great idea!
Thank you Tammy! I love magazine images because they are so thin and don’t add such a lot of bulk. I hope you’ll play with the sanding - so fun.

How amazing I have been drunk journaling for a few years now and I have never seen anything like what you are doing . I thought this was awesome. I love using things out of magazines. I just subscribed and will look at your other videos too. I love your soft and gentle voice. Blessings and hugs from New Mexico
Thanks very much Judie! I am so glad you found me - I’m also from New Mexico! I’m in Stanley - in Santa Fe County - and I’m very interested to know where you are in the state. Thanks for watching!
@@BeAgainBooks I live in Albuquerque. It's so wonderful to hear of someone who junk journals anywhere near me. People here do not recognize what I do very well. So good to hear from you I will look up Stanley on the map. Blessings and love
@@judiemjacobson4613 Hooray for a neighbor! I’m just over the mountain to the east. About 50 miles.
Great techniques! Congratulations on 10K subscribers 👏👏👏🌟💗
Thank you so much Theresa! I appreciate you!
I'm so happy I discovered your channel! Your journal is looking so beautiful and I love seeing your creative ideas.
It's kind of serendipitous because the first video of yours that I watched was your flip through of "A Marsh Song" and I noticed it was inspired by A Girl of the Limberlost. I'm currently making a junk journal out of a battered copy of that very book!
I'm so glad you found me too Patricia. That was such a fun journal to make - about a year ago now. I should do another, haha! Thank you for being part of my community!
This is great! I'm very impressed. I have been subscribed but kind of wandered off somehow. Well, I've learned today that I need to pay attention! There's a lot of great skills to be learned! Thank you!
I’m so glad you wandered back! Thank you very much!
What beautiful ephemera you've created for your journal. Love your techniques and how they transform ordinary paper and magazine images into beautiful little works of art. I love the result of the water-soluble crayons rubbed over the embossing folder, but I missed the name of them. Was it Neo? You are a master at making colors run and smoosh into beautiful designs. Enjoyed your video. Now back to work on my journal.
Thank you so much Linda! Yes, Caran dAche Neo Colors II.
@@BeAgainBooks Thank you. I’ll have to look for those. I did a bit of embossing folder rubbing with a Crayola this afternoon. My crayons are old so I got a light colored image but I like it. Fun way to use embossing folders. Thanks for the tip.
Hallo Kathleen!
This is really awesome. Hope I can
try this. I did my first free hand flower today, lol. I’m so not an artist. My daughter and her daughter are both great but didn’t get it from me😊
Thanks very much Regena! I hope you will try and just keep practicing and doing. Thanks for watching!
❤
Thank you Karen!
WOW!! Love all those techniques! I can't wait to try them! Is that acrylic paint mixed with water? Can you please share the ratio?
Thanks so much Neva - I’m glad you’ll give some of this a try. Yes the smooshing is just acrylic paint thinned down. You’ll have to experiment. I don’t use a ratio, but it’s at least 1:1 or even more water, maybe. Very fluid.
Terrific what you are able to create from a reduced palette of supply! Many new tecniques as well. Thanks for sharing, Kathleen!
Thanks so much Andrea!
May I ask the brand of neo crayons that you used?
Caran dAche NeoColor II
Did you back the magazine images with the art pad paper?💜🐞
Yes, and I also used the composition lined paper.
