American Backflow Products Presents: The Heroes of Backflow Prevention

Check out American Backflow Product's video that was done in honor of the first annual National Backflow Prevention Day to thank everyone that works in the industry.
We want to recognize the importance of backflow prevention and cross-connection control and also celebrate those who install, maintain, and test backflow preventers.
It is no coincidence that National Backflow Prevention Day is on August 16th. On that day in 1933, a backflow incident occurred at two popular hotels near the Chicago World’s Fair resulting in nearly 100 deaths. The incident led to the establishment of the Foundation for Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research and to safe plumbing regulations for backflow assemblies.
