    What I learned from the first trip there was to decline most of the meats - they're good, but you want the stuff that's really special. Beef ribs are always a treat, and picanha is defeinitely the thing you want to hunt down. Skip the chicken, skip the sausages etc - those are chip filler. Bacon wrapped filet is also good, but really I pretty much red card anything but the beef ribs and picanha. They're by far the best and what i want to eat the most of.

    With all these "all you can eat" Brazilian restaurants, your dining experience becomes more and more challenging to "all you can eat". They rely heavily on you filling up at the salad bar and bread options and if that fails, the servers become more and more scarce as the night progresses. That was my experience at an expensive upscale Brazilian restaurant during my first visit. I decided to try again at a different restaurant all together only to face the same dilemma, which by now had left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) and have decided to never again get suckered into visiting any more Brazilian restaurants. Bon appetite to all who disagree with me.

      Well.. here in Brazil we go to a Churrascaria to enjoy the tastes and eat good meat. We are also able to do it in our home, but we go out for the different kinds of meat. But people like you who is used to eat like a pig in the trough is hardly to please, and it is due to the price which is high if compared with the fast foods that you are familiarized and because of that your desire is too high for your american taste. It is very pleasant that you stay in home and spend the money in the average american food instead of going to a Churrascaria. Unfortunately Fogo has been Americanized its menu more and more trying to please bad tastes like yours. Have a nice day sir.

      Funny thing is that the same barbecue they serve you in US, is the same i am doing right here at my home, if you ever come to southern Brazil you shouldn't go to this expansive restaurants, and instead go to a house of a brazilian friend, not only he will invite you for barbecue, but you wouldn't pay anything, and eat the same as in this restaurants.
      Now be careful, if your friend is very young ask if his dad will do it, odds are this boys wouldn't know how to do it.

    I couldn't believe this place. A guy came around and cut of piece of steak off the size and thickness of a quarter. I thought he was having me sample it, but he gave my wife a quarter size piece and left. I turned the card back over and another guy came and did the same thing. Just bite size taste. What the hell is this crap?
    I turned my card over again and before I know it, there is like 4 guys cutting off quarter sized pieces. I asked for some filet Mignon but that guy never did come around.
    On the trip down there, we were looking over the menu items online. I made the comment that who in there right mind would get sausage when all these steaks are available? Now I see why. It was the only piece of meat that we got all night that was bigger than one bite! After almost an hour of waiting for these bite sized morsels, we finally gave up and asked for the check. I bet we each only got about 3-4oz of steak over the course of an hour.
    Up until this time, I was pretty disappointed. That was until I looked at the bill. Now I was freakin' mad. I paid and we left.
    I think we ended up stopping at Steak n' Shake on the way home.
    This was several years ago, maybe they eventually figured things out. I'll won't risk finding out..

    This place is awesome best place to get steak. A steak house charge you $50 for a 8 oz. For a few $ more you can mix up your meat and enjoy. It’s hard not to get full at the salad bar too many tasty options. Yes it’s expensive but in life aren’t all the good things? Even the dessert is good. So find a happy person and cruise over to a good time. You’ll feel so good you won’t mind being $175 short.

  • @dannyvu8304

    I’m not a huge fan of all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse and let me tell you why. I tried FOGO over 20 years ago, and never came back until recently. They first try to load you up with the cheapest types of meat such as low grade steak or chicken hoping you get full and once in a while they throw you a bone and give you a good piece later on like a lamp chops or shrimp. I guarantee you, they will never start you off with her best piece of meat, and for a good reason. They hope you load up on the salad so you have less room for the prime cuts. This is how they make their $.

  • @moes2168
    @moes2168 Před 2 lety +1

    Actually, DO forget the salad bar. You're not paying $50+/person to eat leaves. They're relying and hoping that you do as salads tend to fill people up albeit temporarily but enough that you may miss out on the meats you want to try. Plus it's very cheap for the restaurant. You're paying for the meat selection/variety, eat the meat.
