The seventh installment of Battle At The Berrics pins 16 not so average "Joes" against 16 of the world's biggest pros. "Joe" slots were filled through an open call online video submission process to find the best undiscovered talent across the globe. With Joes hailing from South Africa, Switzerland, Spain, and all across America battling to make it to the top, this is truly the story of the underdog.

Not really dirty considering those are hard tricks and they're legal. Plus its a competition. You're suppose to win and use any means to do so. You play to your strengths. Not theirs

If Jonny was a little more consistent he’d be pretty unstoppable. These mainstream pros are usually extremely consistent and all the conventional tricks though. This game is a prime example.

Suke, or you know, it's also possible those were the only late flip variations he knew he could do or was confident enough with to do, and wasn't feeling any others (or knew any others) and just lost fair and square. Notice how it was literally all consistency and fundamentals that won this game. Paul didn't give Johnny a single letter with a weird or hard trick. These joes don't have the consistency or fundamentals is all.

all the joes in batb 7 and 8 are good at weird double flip tricks and 180 variations but the pros have basic tricks down like regular fs heel and fs flip. all the new up comers are too busy doing new age tricks so they arent as consistent with old tricks.
This was sick. Two great skaters in their own right. Would love to see them in another game of S.K.A.T.E.

The Nollie Inward Heelflip 180 was just fucking sick. Such a hard trick to do, Yet, they make it look effortless... Absolute amazing skaters, the both of them. Johnny is always impressive with his off the wall tricks, though. Strong legs, unique/strong style. One of the best BATB's I've seen!

@@rapha6267 I think it has to do with the fact that Jonny could easily beat prod with obscure shit, or late flips, which prod isn't good at. Jonny is crazy as hell when it comes to flat ground. It's not like the tricks he was missing were because he couldn't do the trick, it looked like either nerves or an off day got him.

Nothing is cheap if you landed it, they're both following the rules. If the other guy can't do it that's his own problem and the whole point of the competition :P You could say the late flips are cheap too, but it's not against the rules.
I think the biggest difference between pros and joes is the consistency. Ams tend to want to build their trick books really huge. They get the trick a couple times and then boom it's part of their library. But put them to the test and they'll only get it 3 times out of 10, which just isn't enough. The time and effort the pros put into this shit gives them that beautiful consistency they need to make tricks look effortless.
