  • La Ronde is the only Six Flags park in Canada. Located in Montreal, this park is located on an island at the base of the Jacques Cartier Bridge. It's a unique setting for a theme park and while it isn't branded as a Six Flags park, it features a formidable lineup of thrill rides including 8 different roller coasters and some cool flat rides. Many call it the worst Six Flags park, but is that overblown?

This is my home park. It's so miserable seeing all of the rides I adored as a kid being removed with nothing to fill the void. The management also really needs to get their game together. I adore this park with all my heart and it's such a shame to see it mistreated like this.

The fireworks show is actually the Montreal international fireworks competition, the most prestigious fireworks show in the world.

The reason the chain did not rename the attractions has to do with copyright law. They own the rights to the DC Franchise in the US, but would have to pay extra to get access to those names outside of the US.

My home park! One thing I'd strongly recommend is to not drive to this place. The metro doesn't drop you too far from the entrance, and it really is nice to avoid the traffic near the park

Americans will literally rather sit in a gridlocked parking lot for 4 hours that take a subway

La ROW-nde, not La rah-nde. It was AMAZING and turned to shit when Six Flags bought it. The bridge is Jacques-Cartier, like the famous explorer, pronouned CAR-T-YAY not CAR-TEE-ER.

This place has great potential. I bet six flags will sell this place I wonder what company will buy it. Maybe gene staples would buy it. Move some of the older rides to his other parks and replace them with some newer ones.

The bridge is also closed because the fireworks occasionally collide with the bridge, so there are safety risks.

Very good and balanced review. I like La Ronde, but the park's opportunities for improvement are noticeable. I also agree with your assessment that Montreal is a fantastic North American city to visit.

The Boomerang was meant to operate in an amusement park called Tivoli, in Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain), but contruction was not completed and the park never opened to the public.

Went to La Ronde every weekend during summer vacations while in High School. The initial Six Flags investment did great things for the park but it's clear they lost interest at some point. I expect La Ronde to be one of the first parks they inevitably sell-off now that interest rates have skyrocketed and they have a lot of debt.

This is incredibly helpful information about accessing this park. I’ve never heard anything about these issues before. You’re doing the Lord’s work!

As always, you nailed this review!! I totally got lost trying to park when I got there. The entrance was a mess of switchbacks and no one waiting in them, and no way to go around them. So stupid. Ednor was the worst steel I've ridden and Le Monstre desperately needs the RMC treatment!

Fun fact: this park has the original S&S drop tower in orbite, which was originally located in the infamous action park in New Jersey until when it was relocated to la ronde for the 1999 season

They could use a Ferry boat that takes people from a parking lot accross the water, this would definitely cool off the congestion.

Fun fact: ednor (the parks slc)was actually supposed to go to great escape, it had red track and blue supports so the name was obviously mind eraser, kinda glad that didn’t happen but still sad it got built :/
